Had a feeling we wouldn't do it, but gutted with the amount of chances we wasted. If only Rene was on the pitch.

Still, what a great season we have had. A few tweaks with the team and I think we can be up there once again next season.

Never seen players try so hard to get a consolation goal. Great effort guys.
Well said, Highweek, well said.

Yes, a cheap season ahead with the least travelling in donkey's years.

Sure I'll come round to the idea that it's been a great season eventually, but to be on the brink of automatic promotion and end up going out in the playoffs is absolutely gutting.

Great effort tonight, but summed up our season totally - so many missed chances which, had they been taken, would've changed the game. A clinical striker needed for next season.

Well done lads. Nothing fell for us and when the big man upstairs doesn't smile on you then thats it, game over. Saying that it's been a great season to be fare and lets look forward to a better season next time around. Martin Ling has done a fine job along with Shaun Taylor and the boys so well done to them. Yes, we are disapointed but hey ho, this is Torquay United so thats what you expect. Good luck to Cheltenham Town in the final. :-D

The difference between the two sides:

Scott Brown - master class. Who said Bobby was the best in the division?

Jermaine McGlashan - another Masterclass of wing play. We just don't have anyone to stay with his pace

Marlon Pack - made our star midfielder look ordinary

The rest of the teams were evenly matched but they were the standouts. Well done Cheltenham - worthy winners over the two legs

What do we need for next season? 2 quick wingers for a start, one proper front man to accompany Rene and a strong midfielder.

Who was our best player again? Brian Saah (despite giving away the free kick for Packs goal)

i agreeLingy is the man to move us forward but he does need to accept we have no decent strikers at the club and the loan system is available in January.

Brown had a good day, but I'll tell you now he's nowhere near Bobby for consistency.

If we had say Bodin and McGlashan playing wide instead of Morris and Stevens, we'd be the ones at Wembley. We've been badly unbalanced ever since BB went back to Swindon.

A season way way above expectations, just a shame we couldn't see it through. All the best to Cheltenham

Not sure how we contrived to lose 4-1 over the two legs really. For all our laxk of quality I think we created the better chances over the two legs McGlashan was nothing special either. We defended well tonight until we went gung for the win.
You have got to say that their first goal was typical really, Bobby saves it and it hits the post and rolls in after they have been saved by the bar and the post.
On another night we would have been four up at half time.
So for me a good effort - and Cheltenham wil get beat in the final.

Good effort but just not enough in the end. I just hope we push on next season and don't lag behind in mid table as it's going to be tough next time round. The atmosphere from what I heard on Sky was incredible right to the end, fantastic as always however near the end there was a disruption when some in the commentators words "clowns" were on the field, please tell me these were not Torquay supporters?
