Martin Lings comments on the players

Post by thethinker »

I take it most of the meetings have taken place between players and the manager. Comments have been placed on the main site regarding those who have stayed and those released. Just a bit worried that I didn't see any comments about the skipper, or did I miss it. The manager has been bigging up Brian Saah recently, is there going to be a move or a change?

The only way I can see Manse leaving us at the moment is retirement...

I think the new guy is suggesting that Brian Saah might be made captain 'on the pitch' (can't remember which captain is which).

I'm not sure, it's clearly not broken, Manse is an inspirational leader and is suited perfectly to the captain's role, so don't fix it.

Matt.

i think after the season Manse has had, his is the safest job in League 2. Saah was made club captain or something when ML took over, but i don't think there is any doubt on the pitch, Manse is the man. Saah got his role as ML came to the club and didn't really know any of the players, so Saah was his tried and trusted link to the players.

It would cause far too many problems (in the dressing room, on the pitch, on the terraces) if ML changed captaincy now (for no reason whatsoever), and i can't believe he's even given it a second thought to be honest. as matt said, if it ain't broke, leave it the **** alone.

Scurrilous nonsense the like of which we see in the media all too frequently.

We haven’t got a story today lads and we need to fill the space, let’s make one up...

My choice is a free gutter Press rather than one controlled by the EU Soviet.

With freedom comes responsibility. That doesn’t mean that the only other option is state control. Why should there be only two extremes? There is surely a middle ground?

What we need is a lot more honour and integrity from our press and our politicians. They have no moral compass any more. Dodgy Dave and Boy George sit at the top of an unedifying pile IMHO. They lead by example, and it is not a good one... from dodgy expenses, retainers, failure to take responsibility and resign, cosy relationships with business and journalists. It just goes on and on...

That's it yellow, the extremes are reflections of each other in constant conflict.

Who suffers ? We know the answer to that one.

It's refreshing to know that Dinger ignores the imposters and says it as it is.
