I was disappointed at missing out on the autos, and disappointed at losing in the play offs (although being on s lilo at a 5 star resort in Mexico when I found out softened the blow) and losing at old Trafford last year hurt, but I would say achievement to expectation wise over the last 5 year's, we must be in the top few on the country.
A brand new stand, higher placed finish in each of the last 5 seasons, players under contract that are covetted by higher league teams, a manager (who nobody gave a chance) and back room staff we are all delighted with- that to me is both showing ambition and a bloody great state of affairs, and everyone of us would have snapped whomever was offering this to us's hand off to be in in this shape 5, and even one year ago.
Whilst I would be pleased in a way if a big investor pumped money in a la Crawley etc. If you cant appreciate the place we're in right now, maybe you should look at following Man City, they're quite ambitious right now
Pikey. I was at the Burj, the world's only 7 star hotel. Clearly, this means I have a larger man sausage than you...

Oh Andy, I know you are a bit of a johnny-come-lately, but don't be silly.750k is a king's ransom for TUFC. Two of our best players, I grant you, but let's get real. We aren't playing Championship Manager.
Been going to watch Torquay since 2004 and been a member on here 9 or so months after your good self. Johnny-come-lately obviously.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
Yeah, i suppose Bix. Some idiots on here really piss me off sometimes , completely brainless some of them ( not you though mate!)

If you do sign him then you're getting a VERY good keeper. I'm perplexed though, whoever thought signing Paul Jones was a good move needs sacking, he's bloody useless compared to Bobby.
Welcome to the forum, always nice to see fans of other clubs here, unless you're from bloody Crawley
If Bobby does go, then I have nothing but gratitude for the excellent work he has put in as Torquay No.1. Brilliant keeper and deserves his chance at the Championship should the move come to fruition.
I'm sure I read somewhere when he signed that he was seeing us as a stepping stone onto playing at a higher level, but none the less, he has given nothing but 110% for us and in my lifetime, the greatest keeper we have had at the club.
I'd be happy with anything between £300,000 and £400,000 for Bobby. He IS worth that of anyone's money and that is a reasonable fee to ask for. I will be desperately sad to see him leave because he is an outstanding talent but ultimately he will find his level which isn't league 2.

Funny to think we got £400,000 for Matt Gregg all those years ago and he wasn't in the same class as Bobby, yet somehow £300,000 is meant to be reasonable. Just get the feeling our board are too 'nice' at times as I suspect if we had Nick Powell we would have sold him for about £250,000 rather than the potential £6m Crewe could get
Says that Ferguson has made 3 enquiries for Bobby. Hopefully this means we're being a bit more hard-nosed in negotiations than people seem to be suggesting.
