Guaranteed to be Devon's top team for the next few weeks. Well happy, may have not been the greatest performance, another 3 points gained.

Just home. Terribly boring game to watch, I don't begrudge Morecambe fans their journey home after watching that.

Well taken goal by Stevens in what was our first shot on target (30 mins in). Craig did well before he got shifted out wide, where he became ineffective, much like EoK was when played there. Bodin should have scored, missed another 1-on-1 with the keeper, as he has done in the last two home games. His confidence seems shot to pieces. Howe did alright, outnumbered by Morecambes 3 CB's.

They nearly equalised late on though when their keeper nearly scored from successive corners!

Poke - okay, nothing too bad. One excellent save in the first half.
Leadbitter. - Not as good as Tuesday but still okay. Probably did enough to keep his place for the cup game.
Saah & Downes - excellent. my top two MOTM, which says more than it should do.
Nicho - quite good again, no mistakes really.
Lathrope - did alright. We're so much better when he plays
Manse - okay again. Not quite the form we saw last year but still not bad.
Craig - good. Really looks a great prospect.
Bodin - Looked a bit sharper than previous, but should have scored in the second. Head dropped after the two misses in a row.
Howe - His usual self.
Stevens - Okay. Well taken goal.

Broadly agree with Nick, although I thought that Craig was MOM because he showed what quality there was, with the exception of the excellent Howe. Downes and Saah struggled in the 2nd half, more to do with the sun that the Shrimps. Leadbitter does look a good option at RB bringing the ball forward quickly, on occaision going past his man. Needs to build confidence and judgement. Bodin worked hard, but should have had a least 1 from the 3 good chances he had. First view from the Bench, which was good visually but little atmosphere, only once did C'mon you Yellows' really ring across the ground at a corner during the second half. I suppose it is good in a way to secure a boring 1-0 after the drama in the week.

Mostly agree with Nick's summary of the players apart from Bodin, I think that's the worst I've ever seen him played, can't believe when he was in the box he tried ball rolling past the defender and he tripped over the ball... just wow...

Just watched the City V Swansea match and that seemed a lot worse, very dire. Finished 1-0 to City if you're interested.

Deary me, wasn't that dull. Morecambe are one of the very worst sides I've ever seen, if not for a lack oftalent (although they won't tax the better sides), more for a total lack of effectiveness going forward. If we could shoot straight, we'd have won by loads. Still, three points are three points and I'd rather have them than not.

Matt.

Morecambe were lacking Ellison & Brodie I am sure that they would have made a difference. At the end of the day we got three points in difficult conditions a bobbly pitch a swirling strong wind and bright sunshine right in the players eyes. Up to seventh and both our neighbours losing. Happy days !!!

was hoping for back to back wins and back to back good performances aswell, got the win, the performance today from the team was poor, slow, poor passing equally hopeless finishing, a performance that lacked any spark and didn't get out of first gear, truely dissappointing.

As stated however the game was won, three points bagged so happy days.COYY :scarf:
