An Idiot Abroad ( well, Derbyshire IS far from Torquay! ) 3

Post by AustrianAndyGull »

Just a quickie, ( i wish  )

This is the third time i've said i'm not going to post on here again and for the third time i have failed to keep my word. I AM a man of my word but only when it suits ;-)

Anyway, Nick didn't last as long as myself as he posted on the Wimbledon match thread so i re-emerge with SOME credit at least!

It has actually been a bit difficult reading the forum this last week without giving in and responding as i like to post my views and opinions. It is a kind of free online therapy if you like. :)

I have no willpower and that is why i have a drink / gambling / eating problem and so my abstinence from this forum was doomed from the start.

I want to make it third time lucky and stay on with the minimum of fuss. I am desperate to try to keep calm and not get heated or over react to certain posts / situations and certainly not abuse people or use excessive swear words or capital letters and exclamation marks. I seem to remember someone having a go at me for coming back on last time i 'quit' having said i wouldn't have a go at anyone and apologising only for me to go and do it again. They thought me ungenuine. They are correct in that i did do this but i am a genuine person and had no intention of doing this until it happened.

There really is little point in arguing the toss over things, i will put my points across with no abusive references to anyone - i can guarantee that this time. Learning lessons i think. :-D

This forum is one of the best around and it's a pleasure to be part of and having won member of the month for december must mean that lots of you like my input most of the time and i like the banter so i really appreciate all your votes. It has made me realise that there are lots of you out there who don't post much but still like the read and it's good to make people laugh if i can.

I cannot deviate from my matchday threads ( i shall be back with a vengeance for Burton ). I have a particular humour and style and i can't change that but i also want people to be aware that if i poke fun at anyone in them like older people for example i don't necessarily mean it. I love older people as in a few years i might be one! I DO hate Chavs though, oh and Accrington.

I will try and keep the swearing to an absolute premium, if there is to be any it will be in the matchday threads but i will try and avoid the F word.

Well, hope i am welcome back and i will get some good viewing figures for AN IDIOT ABROAD ( CHESTERFIELD ACTUALLY ) 3 ( 3RD TIME!)

Cheers all!

I LOVE TORQUAY UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB WITH ALL MY BEING :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
