Post by Glostergull »

Hi guys. Can't stop now but just been informed that in the last 30 minutes Paul Buckle has left Luton Town by Mutual consent. no more info for now,.
Although the Chairman did say they had to have promotion this season. oh my.

Buckle hasn't been sacked, if you read the statement it says it was nothing to do with football reasons.
Lets just hope this isn't paving the way for his return here.

I'd have him back tomorrow, whatever the history. Doubt it will happen though, due to the 'personal circumstances'.

But in Martin Ling's absence we desperately need a manager like Buckle to come in and shake up the squad.

Usually when it says left by mutual consent its the sack. I am not too sure i buy the personal reasons excuse.
I did wonder whether widnod had made an approach but we wait to see.

The thing is, he failed miserably at Bristol Rovers and likewise at Luton other than the cup run so where next for Bucks? His career is fast going down the tubes and it couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
