Welling Utd v TUFC 16th February 2019
I guess we were always going to draw a blank at some point- first time we have failed to score under Johnson isn't it (league) - every other game we have scored at least two. They talk a load of rubbish these days about 6 pointers in October in games between any teams in the top or bottom 6 but the game on April 6th truly is a 6 pointer
Plenty to work on for Downsey this week with the centre backs for the next time we come up against a Danny Mills type character, by all accounts we couldn't handle him
On that showing that's a joke effort from the useless prick in black.
Their keeper should have gone - how on earth did he not get sent off for that? Lost the ball, he's got nowhere to go so he goes in groin height - clearly reckless and with intent.
Their second goal - hes let two obvious fouls go on the right wing leading to them gaining possession.
As for the Cameron sending off - laughable - the worst decision of the lot. Their player goes down like hes been shot. I'm not even sure that Cameron has touched him, yet the useless tosser can't get his card out quick enough.
There is no way that that challenged is a bookable offence. That's truly diabolical officiating and we've been stitched right up.

Watching that McDonald seemed culpable for the first goal ….why is he so far off his line? which makes him hesitate between coming further forward or retreating. I have to believe that he was completely unsighted for the second goal? as he is generally a decent shot stopper.
Obviously the lad is still young and hopefully video replays will help his development.
The Cameron 2nd yellow is very soft - he barley touched the Woking player.

Yes - what on earth was MacDonald doing ?
Refs really fallen for that, Cameron hardly touched him, he's going to throw himself to the ground isn't he if he knows Cameron's on a yellow

Ref has stitched us up, yes, but those goals were shocking. The first goal is a huge mistake by MacDonald and was definitely preventable. Their second, MacDonald was completely blinded by our defenders, but no attempt by any of them to close down the guy taking a shot.
It’s hard to be scathing when we’ve lost very few since Gary took over, but that’s what makes errors like the above seem so frustrating, given the high standards we are used to.
Anyway, onwards and upwards.

And Cameron gets a two game ban courtesy of his ridiculous red card whist the Woking keeper gets away scot free - Ridiculous.

I agree that the Welling keeper should have got a red card. Cameron, however, had had a warning a few minutes earlier on the other touchline. I think you will find that he got his 2nd yellow for persistent fouling rather than anything more cynical. GJ should have pulled him off then. Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing!!!
