I know supporters of every team probably feel like this, but we must have a higher proportion of last day deciders (be it play offs, autos, relegation, etc) than most teams, surely?

We have to win next weekend to be sure. But what ever the results, should we be in the plat offs after next weekend it will probably mean that we face Accrington Stanley the team in form at the moment. However, that also means that if we beat them we must fancy our chances in the final.

Not sure if that makes sense?

In case it doesn't does anyone know the play off final dates?
Play Off Final is 28 May

Another important result for us today has to be the 2-2 draw between Rotherham and Aldershot. They may not have known it but if they (Rotherham) could have scraped a win (they pulled back to 2-2 after being 2-0 down) they would still have had a decent outside chance of squeezing into the play offs and of course, worse for us, everything still to play for nest Saturday. If they had of won today, then subject to them beating us by a couple of goals and Stevenage (h v Bury) and Gillingham (a v Chesterfield) both losing they would have sneaked in - despite the fact that Andy Scott their own Manager had written off their chances after their home defeat to Gilingham last week!

Fantastic set of results today, we REALLY couldn't have hoped for anything better and the most important result is that our fate is now back in our OWN hands - we just need to match the result of one of the other two teams involved (Gillingham and Stevenage) and we are there - even a defeat MIGHT be sufficient. Personally I fancy us to at least get a draw up there and I reckon that may well prove to be enough.

I said before the game yesterday that I felt that 4 points from our last two games would be enough and, as it happens, it most certainly would be - quite possibly even less. I actually felt that the point last night was a decent one against what clearly was a very decent Chesterfield side who should prove themselves to be worthy Champions next week, by (hopefully) beating Gillingham! :scarf:

6th/7th play home first.

Playoffs are 14th/15th May, then both 2nd legs are on a Friday night (?). Don't know why..

Don't they usually stagger the playoff games (ie have different divisions playing on different nights) because sky like to show as many games as possible - usually at least one leg of every playoff tie. Although I could be wrong.

12th - Championship semi 1 - 1st leg
13th - Championship semi 2 - 1st leg
14th - L1 1 - 1st leg and L2 1 - 1st leg - Saturday, so could both be shown if one 3pm kick off and the other 5:45pm
15th - L1 2 - 1st leg and L2 2 - 1st leg - Sunday, again they could show both
16th - Championship semi 1 - 2nd leg
17th - Championship semi 2 - 2nd leg
18th - L1 1 - 2nd leg
19th - L1 2 - 2nd leg
20th - L2 2nd leg for both

Just watching the football league show and I see that Ronan Murray started for Ipswich today, and had a hand in their winning goal...
