I can`t understand why Nicky was getting booed and I also don`t get why " The Bouncy Castle Army" were singing a song that dissrespected Robbo, both players were very good servants to our club and helped us get to were we are now! A show of gratitude and thanks should be in order for these lads, not a slagging off! When the game ended Nicky walked off looking quite upset at some of what he heard said to him, this should never happen!bixieupnorth wrote:surprised to hear wroe getting booed by the pop??

Totally agree. Both deserve better.
TUST number 080
agree with both the above posts, I was stood near the half way line on the pop, I did not hear any anti Chris Robertson chants in that area of the ground, must say though, not only did Robbo gave 5 fantastic years service, he also made it pretty clear to the club he was not going stay beyond the end of this season, giving our club the chance to sell him in January with a transfer fee rather than losing him in the summer for nothing, any one reading this who started or joined in with any anti chris Robertson chant's..hang your head in shame.
Yes there were some booing Nicky Wroe, however to be honest it was not that many, does not make it right, agreed, there were more having banter with Wroe, some of which he smiled at and responded in return.

It was pathetic wasn't it, we shame ourselves with some of the most dimwitted fans sometimes.Aussie wrote: I can`t understand why Nicky was getting booed and I also don`t get why " The Bouncy Castle Army" were singing a song that dissrespected Robbo, both players were very good servants to our club and helped us get to were we are now! I was stood in the middle aswell and heard no songs about Robertson either. And would of been dissapointed if there were any. As said he was a good player for us and deserves credit for what he's done during his time here.forevertufc wrote:agree with both the above posts, I was stood near the half way line on the pop, I did not hear any anti Chris Robertson chants in that area of the ground, must say though, not only did Robbo gave 5 fantastic years service, he also made it pretty clear to the club he was not going stay beyond the end of this season, giving our club the chance to sell him in January with a transfer fee rather than losing him in the summer for nothing, any one reading this who started or joined in with any anti chris Robertson chant's..hang your head in shame.

As for Wroe getting booed that was more to try and put him off his game rather than actually any hatred towards him. He got worse during the Playoffs when the whole middle of the popside was telling him how bad a midfielder they thought he was...And that was none of the younger ones as they were all down the end that game.

Naturally over the moon with ANOTHER win. We are becoming like the Arsenal of old with 1-0 scorelines. At the moment it is paying off and we are getting the breaks and although winning 1-0 is still winning, i firmly believe we need a bit more potency in attacking areas and i hope to God this doesn't ultimately scupper our chances of going all the way. I must give credit to Tai today as he scored ( i think?! ) and played really well by all accounts and although he has only scored 3 this season which is a desperate return from a main striker he has still won us 9 points. I keep on expecting us to get beaten and we keep on winning so i'm hoping that trend continues on tuesday as i think we'll get beat. I'm just in dreamland at the minute and although i would be ecstatic with a play off spot i just feel that we have such an opportunity to be free of all that and get and automatic spot. We've just got to keep believing and keep working hard as the worry is that we are due a bad spell and if it arrives it will come at the wrong time. We deserve to go up!!!!!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I assume you mean season. For me that was Crawley – pace, power and purpose.NickGull wrote:What a game that was. Shrews the best side I've seen come to Plainmoor this year, in my opinion. Two sides both trying to play the game the right way, it was excellent to watch. We were 10 times better than the Daggers and NTFC games two weeks back. Everybody played really well, some of our moves were unreal.
Class game to watch, Shrews will still be in the mix come May, lets just hope we are!
Also, how big is Bristows Bench!! Thought it was going to be a similar size to the Family Stand but nope! Cannot wait to see that develop over these coming months.
On the matter of N Wroe Esq. looking upset after the game. A good pro will always look upset after a defeat against promotion rivals. How does anyone know whether his face was because of what someone had said on the Popside?
Most linesmen would be leaving the pitch in tears if that were the case.
I too saw NW smiling at the Plainmoor badinage during the game.

And Crawley could only draw at Plymouth. Hope for us yet, when we go to Crawley..

Was stood down near enough to the end to hear what the young lads were singing, and the only 'Chris Robertson' song I heard was 'Who needs Chris Robertson, we've got Brian Saah' - wouldn't call that a disrespectful song towards Robbo, more praise for Saah's excellent performance yesterday as he was having a blinder. I think thats a bit of an overreaction there Aussie.

If thats it then that really is a complete over reaction. Nothing disrespectful in that towards Robertson. As you say just praising Saah who got better as the game went on.gullsflyinghigh wrote:Was stood down near enough to the end to hear what the young lads were singing, and the only 'Chris Robertson' song I heard was 'Who needs Chris Robertson, we've got Brian Saah' - wouldn't call that a disrespectful song towards Robbo, more praise for Saah's excellent performance yesterday as he was having a blinder. So "Who needs Chris Robertson" isn`t disrespectful, bollox! Then again the younger generation wouldn`t know what the word `respect` meant anyway! By all means praise Brian but don`t smudge Robbos name in the process!AlexGulls wrote: If thats it then that really is a complete over reaction. Nothing disrespectful in that towards Robertson. I would classify that is respectful disrespect, probably born far more of relief than any malice towards Robbo.
This is a lot of fuss about nothing. When the Popside goes PC, Plainmoor will have gone to the dogs IMHO.

Theres been worse...Again your seeing it in the wrong way. Its not that there trying to disrepect Robertson its that there backing Saah to do well in his place. If Robbo ever came back with PNE I'd like to think he'd get a good reception for all the hard work and effort he's done over the years for us.Aussie wrote: So "Who needs Chris Robertson" isn`t disrespectful, bollox! You're showing no respect to someone who goes to every game home and away. The same person who has stuck up for McPhee to all and sundry when they criticise and boo him, so lighten up.

The 'who needs Chris Robertson' chant is just a generic one generally aimed in support of the player who has replaced the outgoing player, in this case Robbo. It's not malicious at all and if Robbo came back to Plainmoor with PNE he would get an amazing reception as most departed players would at Torquay as we're all nice people o:)
