Celtic WOW! It's the equivalent of Blackburn Rovers beating the mighty Catalans! Unbelievable.

Certainly looking like AFC Wimbledon are meeting MK Dons for the first time - really hoping that AFCW hammer them.

England away in Sweden tonight. I think it will be 3-1 to the Swedes in this one. Austria have a tough home friendly against Ivory Coast in which i am expecting a loss but we'll see.

England, a population of 50 odd million people and it struggles to find any half decent footballers so much that it has to play a 17 year old and hope that he is going to be the next big thing, an Everton midfielder who is over 30, Tom Huddlestone and a persuaded Wilfried Zaha who plays in the Championship. Meanwhile Germany have Mario Gotze, Marco Reus, Lewis Holtby, Thomas Muller, Sven Bender, Mats Hummels, Andre Schurrle, Holge Badstuber, Toni Kroos and Julian Draxler all whom are 23 and under and are playing at top world class champions league clubs, in addition for every Gareth Barry they have a Sammy Khedira, a Bastian Scweinsteiger, a Mesut Ozil, a Phillipe Lahm, a Benedikt Howerdes, a Simon Rolfes, a Mario Gomez need i go on? Forget Spain, England are about 20 years behind Germany at the moment and it is really quite appalling and embarrassing how someone has let them get into such a state of decline. I find it funny obviously but when you think of all the money we have, all the facilities we have and all the Premiership supposedly being the best league in the world, it is a criminal offence.

Oh I'm sure everyone will completely agree Andy. The England national team is a joke and always has been. The only time we've won a major competition we had to be in our own country and had a useful dodgy linesman on our side. English football has not declined, it's always been this rubbish.

Congratulations to ITV for tonight showing a complete dead rubber LIVE in the name of football. Arsenal v Olympiakos. Arsenal are through and Olympiakos can't catch them, neither can Olympiakos be caught by Montpellier for third spot and a Europa League place so a game where nothing matters. How excitiing.

And before you say anything like 'ITV had the fixtures set before the group kicked off therefore they weren't to know that this would happen so it's not their fault'. It IS their fault because they should either show us another game or put something else on.

England played really well tonight and i actually enjoyed watching it. Deserved the result and it's not often they get praise from me. Austria meanwhile routinely lost 2-1 against the mighty Welsh. We need to disband our FA right now and concentrate on skiing because if we played a friendly against a creche we'd lose we are that dire.

Apparently less than 50 Austrians watched the game live Andy. Were you one of them?!

I had planned to go Nick but been on deaths door since friday and am going the docs today, suspected glandular fever. I go to most games between Austrian and English club sides in Europe, recently to Villa Park to see Rapid knock them out and i try and get to any internationals between Austria and any of the home nations. Hoping to get to the Ireland qualifier in Dublin if poss.

Fair enough. I was saying how it would have been fun to go! Got a real affinity for the place, as you know! :)

Yeah i remember you saying. It's just a shame we are just about out of qualifying for Brazil as what a tournament THAT promises to be. I haven't enjoyed international tournaments for a while now but i reckon this world cup could spark something in me and i'm really looking forward to it. Be unbelievable if Austria could get there but we won't .
