Even if we were the better team today we were still a load of s****!! Players besides one exception, Pearce, were not up for a fight. Appeared not to care and were just gonig through the motions - disgraceful .
Any one who thinks Stevens and Benyon are capable of playing in Div 2 is mad and it is time to move Bodin on. Sadly, I have also reached the conclusion that Hargreaves does not really know what he doing. Little evidence of his ability to motivate to say the least or a capacity to change a game.We need a BIG clear out at all levels. I need a drink!!!

A little bit worrying I heard one of the stewards say they have not been paid for a few weeks and a few of them would not work. Perhaps thats why the steward was upset. I hope everything is ok behind the scenes at the club. :keepie:

Rice didn't have a bad game except him refusing to take free kicks quickly.
Cargill looked solid - best LB we've had in a while
Pearce didn't look at his best
O'Connor the same
Tonge awful again
Manse looked ok didn't make many mistakes and at the end showed how upset he was
Harding how he got his MOTM I have no idea
Bodin the less said the better
Cameron good again
Benyon offside too much and wouldn't shoot
Shaq looked frustrated and only had one header and that was it

Sub's
Stevens didn't do a lot wrong but not a lot right Didn't close down
Chapell good on the right except crossing was too low and his corners wEre good
Yeoman never got the ball

Same old...huff and puff...powderpuff...pass the ball about, usually to the opposition (who, like most teams in this god-awful division, are very poor)...okish until we get anywhere near their penalty area and we just don't know what to do. We could still be playing now and our score would still be nil. Our shite season summed up by a glaring miss from Benyon - hitting the ball over from 6 yards - how was that possible?

We weren't unlucky - we are just awful, embarrassingly poor, devoid of any nous or guile and stuffed full of the most mediocre players, incapable of doing what they are paid to do.

That is perhaps unfair because Pearce again stood out. Harding had a reasonable game for him but still nothing that rose beyond 5/10. Obviously there is no way that we would be able to keep Coulthirst but other than Pearce, there is not a single player I would be sorry to see go.

Another game where we had all the possession but were bullied by a phyically stronger side who crashed into most tackles which went unpunished by the referee. In the first five minutes Daggers should have had a player sent off by a referee who just let the game go.
Looking at Bodins leg I think it will be a hospital job the way he was carrying it and I noticed he was limping very early in the game before he was injured. His knee was strapped when he started I expect thats the last we see of him it's a sad way to leave. :keepie:

Same cack that was trotted out a few weeks ago.
The stewards are not employed by the club, they are employed by an outside contractor.
Apathy Rules...............it's ok though, nobody's that fussed about it........

As said on another thread, we must understand, to be sent off, it has to a denial of a clear goal scoring opportunity, think the ref got it right re; Saah.

There is no such thing as a clear goal scoring opportunity for a Torquay United player, so nobody could ever get sent off against us for that offence ;-)

Indeed - Dagenham could have given their keeper the day off and even if Saah had been red-carded (and in my view it was a booking), it would not have made the blindest bit of difference. Barcelona have Messi nickname La Pulga (the flea). Whereas we have Benyon - more like a beetle, ponderously slow, quite often left flailing around on his back waving his arms and legs in the air - in Spanish, The Beetle is 'El Escarabajo' - sort of fits!

Btw Bodin injury was he overstretched and his foot was stood on at the same time. But to bring on danny for him instead of chapell is a disgrace.

Who? Bodin overstretched?!!

I'd certainly pay money to see if it ever happened!

Oh wait, I have been doing for 2 seasons. :-/
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Bodin has an injury which was so serious and fans were so concerned about him that looking back on the matchday thread it appears you are the only one to mention it and to be bothered about it. Krystian Pearce has something to worry about with his permanent 'injury' but that doesn't stop him putting in MOM shifts each game. Bodin will be patched up and ready to go for another club come August so I'm not really that fussed if it's all the same. I don't wish to see any player injured but I work with animals and often get bitten, it's called job risk I believe. So long as it isn't career threatening or he has to have an amputation then no big deal.
