Very, very surprised that Ajala isn't on the pitch. He is by far our best player and why Benyon is playing God alone knows.

To be fair it sounds like Briscoe has been a bright spot together with Bowman.

Cameron has struggled a bit - just being subbed for Ajala now

Absolutely no excusing this performance, Hargreaves is going to have a rather large bar bill on his hands after the game...

Much better 2nd half but you still never get the sense we'll ever score a goal. And with our shaky back line we're going to need to score goals (plural) to win games.

[quote="bixieupnorth"]2-0 down, could be worse, we could be chester, 0-3 and a man down/quote]

At least they have the f**king excuse of being a man down ....unless we could class playing Cruise and Benyon as the equivalent of playing with 10!

Poor team selection by Greavsie. I don't think the likes of Cruise and Benyon deserved to start and our negligence in not strengthening the defence during the summer has come back to haunt us in what was always going to be a tough fixture. We will certainly have easier days.

Really disappointed that Ajala didn't start and what has Chapell done wrong to not even get on our bench?????

Unfortunately for us, and more particularly Tom Cruise, it appears we were up against an exceptionally good winger. Our lack of pace down the left side has been cruelly exposed by a confident winger in young Maddison.

At least Briscoe has managed to peg one back. 3-1.
