Give up Burnham, Rice had probably made fewer saves than any other FL keeper this year (before today, at least). The saves he have made have been good, but the opposition have been allowed precious few genuine chances and fewer still have forced Ricey to do much more than bend down and collect.
MOTM awards mean nothing. Manse got one the other night when he was almost as hopeless as Harding.
Matt.

Tonge didn't fill me with any confidence against Wimbledon and Oxford, but thought he was one of our best players against Northampton and gave Hartlepool no hope down that side last week!! He has settled in my opinion, is certainly not a liability like Oastler was!
Nicho has not been half as bad as people on here make out! He was left exposed in the first half against Northampton, where he was battling against a swirling wind as well as a pacey winger!
Let's start getting behind the team and not get on their backs!!
In AK I trust!

Ignore the glaring grammatical errors in my last post, fecking phone.
Matt.
Sorry Cosmic, Nico is miles past it and needs to be ditched in favour of the vastly superior Cruise as soon as possible.

Oh so once again something happens then we concede. Just like what happened at Swindon with Benners' injury. Just like what happened with the disallowed goal vs Oxford.
We seem to switch off at crucial moments. Arghhh.
Good to see you on here Smiffs, been a while since I've seen you post! But yeh, like you I don't mind paying to watch good football if we lose, but we are nowhere near delivering. Maybe it doesn't help that my first season was the 03/04 glory days which set the standard, I don't know, but IMO we've never come close to emulating that kind of football. What makes it even more frustrating is that back then the club literally had nothing and Leroy worked on a shoestring, now we have some forms of infrastructure and finances yet we are playing awfully.![Frown :(](./images/smilies/frown.gif)

Just out of interest, does anybody know what our heaviest defeat was under Ling?

I agree Matt, as far as Cruise is better than Nicho, but Nicho is experienced at this level and an experienced pro that all clubs need around, especially when we have a fairly young squad.
I would start Cruise ahead of Nicho, but Nicho hasn't been as poor as some make out, however I can't comment on today as I was not able to make the trip.
My only area of concern is the center of the park, but I believe Harding will get better ( I just hope it's soon)! I would love to see Nathan Craig back in the mix, but it's not just Knill that doesn't fancy him, Ling didn't either.
As for up front, I think we have enough, they just need a bit more service from those playing behind!

No, we weren't lucky against Northampton; we fully deserved that victory, & it could have been by a greater margin.Burnhamgull wrote:and against Oxford we were only 1-3 poor.....

Are you serious? If their finishing had been better, we'd have been two or three goals down by half time. Their right winger was making a mug of Nico time and time again and even Mansell gave him stick on Twitter about it.taxilady wrote: No, we weren't lucky against Northampton; we fully deserved that victory, & it could have been by a greater margin.

I believe a 2.5 home defeat by Gillingham.Scott Brehaut wrote:Just out of interest, does anybody know what our heaviest defeat was under Ling?
