This is probably very un-PC but...if you happen to be a young, single guy (or girl!), get yourself over to the US. Seriously. You can't go wrong with the accent. I've been propositioned and invited out for 'coffee' so many times, simply because of the accent. You can't go wrong.

I know it has to be the accent because I'm ugly :)

Stay away from the really big cities (New York, LA) cos they hear accents a lot. Go to one of the other 46 contiguous states, they love it.

Where in the US?

Please don't say Florida.

Being ginger I am not a big fan of the sun so no.
One of the more Northern states, maybe Massachusetts.

Interesting. Although you should know that people from there insist that Massachussetts is a "commonwealth". I don't know why, either.

Had to google it!
Apparently it's just because it's in their constitution, same goes for Kentucky, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
I love google.

yeah, they're really funny about it. My wife got stopped by Mass. State Trooper once who kept saying "Great Commonwealth of Massachussetts" instead of just "Massachussetts". Weird.

They get quite a bit of snow, though. More than me. I didn't really like Boston very much, though.

Me too, although after you've had to shovel the drive a few times, you start to like it a lot less...

I knew it! Everybody who has been to the US seems to have been there, except for me. And my wife is from Florida..
New York is ace. Even though I've been here for more than 4 years I'm still such a tourist.

I was only 11 and it was brilliant except for being chased by Briar Fox in the Villian's room.
New York was amazing would love to go again.
I'll get the husband to do any necessary shovelling.
Shame they're so strict with the entry requirements.
