He may well be professional, I've not seen anyone here say otherwise. I've been told he's an excellent trainer and as you say he showed total support for Bevan while he was here but when I've seen him play it's quite obvious he isn't good enough for League Two. There's also a good reason why he's had to show patience, he simply wasn't good enough to oust Bevan.
What does "repeating these comments to his face" have to do with people giving their opinion on a fans forum?
i was referring to his professionalism as a positive aspect of danny's game in the midst of all this negativity about him . didnt say anyone was sayong otherwise !!! its comments such as "you're welcome to him" and "good luck you'll need it " to newport fans . talk about condemning a man before he has a chance to prove himself. these comments are unnecessary in my opinion and are the ones i doubt would be said face to face !!!
I've watched him play 5 games for us and studied the goals he conceeded in others. In my view they ARE welcome to him, I also feel they'll need luck with him in goal and yes I personally would say that to his face. Next.
that is your opinion. however mine is that at a lower level he would be a welcome addition to the club and they wont have to rely on luck as he will perform well without it. as for saying it to his face, i would like to be a fly on the wall !!!!
i for one wish Danny all the best. only saw him play a couple of times, but like many of you have said, came across as a decent pro, a thoroughly decent fella, and a big help to Bev. just watching him pre-match, with Kenny and Bev warming up, i think he'd do very well as a goalkeeping coach.
i guess it wasn't meant to be for him at torquay, but thanks Danny, and all the best.

I only saw him against Cheltenham away and yes he made mistakes but I believe him to be a decent keeper and a good bloke too who interacted well with the crowd. Good luck to him he deserves more than to be sat on the bench. I hope he is happy and does well at Newport.
