My man of the match was the number five, who I believe is Sam Dreyer.
Sorry not listening others but I am struggling to know them after one game.
However special mention should be made of Club Doctor. Vivek Kulkarni, who assisted in an astonishing number of medical emergencies on the popside. He was the star of the day. In sixty years, I can not recall the medics having so much work - THANK YOU all.
Maybe, the Club can arrange a collection for the assisting St Johns Ambulance, either on Tuesday or the first League match against Enfield to show our gratitude.

I also think Regan Miles (physio) deserves a mention as well because along with Kulkarni, he ran across the field (with a fair bit of heavy equipment) as fast as he could to ensure he got to the various incidents as quickly as possible.North Curry House wrote: 28 Jul 2024, 08:30 My man of the match was the number five, who I believe is Sam Dreyer.

An impossible match to learn anything from, it was minutes in legs really. Was nice to see Wotton forever organising the defense and frustration at the few times we had dangerous positions and then wasted them. Things to work on.
Unfortunately we looked a exactly like a new team that hasn't had much time together. Goalie rushing off his line, slow for the second goal and hoofing the ball up to the diminutive Ash was frustrating. Hopefully in time the team will gel, although it looked as though we are still lacking in pace and tricky wingers, the sub bought on just reminded me of Tope (was it?), slow and lumbering. Not a criticism, as hopefully just needing match fitness/sharpness.
Why would Plymouth be fitter and stronger on the whole though, unless they started Pre season before us? We have signed a few in the last week, but most have been here since training began.
Our defense does look more secure and looks the most promising part so far.
It was a strange match, with the poor spectators collapsing, (also thanks to Plymouths physio who helped) If it's down to bottles being confiscated before the match for safety reasons, is this a Torquay rule or a football one? Poor show if it's our decision.
The atmosphere was muted due to the stoppages and the fact it was too easy for Plymouth and that we created little for our fans to get behind which was a shame with over 5000 there, what was the official attendance?
Pitch looked and played superbly.
Loads of fans in the new strip, our income these last few weeks must have been fantastic
All in all though, it was mostly getting minutes in legs and no injuries, so we did both

The Tope look-alike was Omar Mussa who seen as he only signed on Friday could explain for his lack of fitness
