In reality, there will not be many occasions where you have to actually make your own quotes. Usually the quote button will do the job. I've only actually written it out 15-20 times, maybe and that's only because I can, not because I particularly needed to.

The purpose of the thread is to give a general understanding of how quotes work, so that when using the quote button, people won't start typing their reply inside the quote.

I don't like quotes so much. I would rather a nice meaty bacon sandwich. or Jelly and Icecream hehe. a nice glass of white wine. or in the wifes case a nice white whine. riding in a nice jag and good music. not nec in that order and in the case of red meat and alcowol not possible at all. But I would still like it. quotes either by themselves or in a sandwich are totaly tastless and do nothing for me at all. (as a nice man with a white coat come and offers me a ride to a nice warm secluded place by the sea)
