The problems have meant that I have been working all night and around my day job on this site, stress levels out the roof. Trust me when I say I am on it and working to the best resolution possible. When I decide a server move is needed, at the end of the day it's my choice not the host or anyone pushing me, I will make the decision based on the long term. Unfortunately I don't have a crystal ball that would predict a brand new 4 week old faster server would have SAN network issues and the old one would still be running fine, as I say sods law it would have to happen the day I move us onto it.

Web management is not a fun business to be in, it's a tiring and stressful one - my poor girlfriend has had not had any attention off me all week, she's come second to the laptop. Moving on... these things happen, I thank you all for your ongoing support and hope you are enjoying the new faster server in Maidenhead that we are now on while it is running! haha

We all appreciate the excellent work of the technical team. Many thanks.
And thanks for putting technical terms into more recondite language, though I'm still puzzled by 'double-posting'.
Is that derived from half a four-poster?

I don't think anyone is questioning yours or the admin teams hard work or choices Louis. We are all extremely grateful for this fine forum you provide for us. The opening post was just a friendly light hearted joke as the two crashes happened soon after our two wins thus far!

I think I speak for all of us in thanking you and your team for your hard work - especially when you are burning the candle at both ends to resolve issues as they crop up.

Double posting was happening due to the length of time it was taking for the submitted message to actually send, I'd imagine people were clicking submit again and when reading threads I was coming across multiple examples of this.

Admin have been very helpful to me on more than one occasion.

There are a number of ways we can show our appreciation of what Admin do for us. One is to support the site by contributing. Another is to become a friend of TorquayFans.com by donating a minimum of £5 towards running costs. There is no upper limit to the donation and all monies are gratefully accepted.

I seem to remember that she is quite fit. Is there anything I can do to help?

Not unless you look like Lucien on Celebrity Big Brother, by all accounts ;-)

I was happy to help but to stoop so low as to even acknowledge the existence of Celebrity Big Brother is more than I could possibly stand.

Count me out Louis.

You’ll just have to do your own dirty work...
