Seems to me likely that he has fallen out with your Manager. We have seen plenty of that in the past. Trouble is that it doesnt matter if you are in the Premiership or League 2 it is very difficult to kep players happy once the Manager has shown a preference in his line up. it is slightly easier in the top leagues because the players are getting paid so much more but in my mind if I were a player I would prefer to be playing regularly for a slightly lower team than sitting on the bench every week. I really feel that Michael owen has wasted his latter career away being on Uniteds bench.

Sorry but how do you work that one out? He has fallen behind our front two of Howe and Atieno, Martin Ling has obviously come to the conclusion that he prefers those two and to stop him wasting time on the bench he appears to have got him a move.

100% agree but with Kee gone this leaves us with nobody who can come on and score goals. Ling has performed way above my expectations so far but if he has no other strikers lined up to replace Kee then i can't see how that is sensible management. We'll have to wait and see.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Yeah cheers gullno4. I've only this minute read the Billy Bodin thread and realised. I posted my reply to Kee going BEFORE i'd actually read the Billy Bodin post so ignore my inane ramblings and well done Ling for maintaining the squad!

I appreciate what you are saying Southampton gull but surely if all was well then Kee would be required should either Atiena or Howe get injured rather than an unknown youngster from a team in the same division. i could understand it easier if it were a Championship squad player. I was just basing this on bits and pieces that seemed to indicate that Kee was not happy with the Managers decision to rank him third choice. if it was a 6 month loan same as Bodin then that could be sensible to get Kee back in 3/6 months fully fit similar to what Dagenham seem to have done with Gavin Tomlin last season. I can see us being in the market for a couple of players before the daedline if our injuries continue to pile up. regards.

I think it is best not to go to deeply into the why's wherefore's untill this move is confirmed, not doubting Hector's word for one minute, is Kee going to burton ? Is he going on a permanent switch ? Or is he going on loan ? As it stands we do not know, i shall wait untill we do.

Surely if this is true, then the Bodin loan must be a nailed on permanent deal if we want to take that option. Otherwise this will leave a small squad even....smaller!

Going by his twitter page, I would say it's nailed on he has gone, and Burton is a great shout.

As others have mentioned this seems to have totally come out of the blue. Although there was speculation that BK wasn't happy I am a bit surprised he appears to be leaving on a transfer. For our first match of the season he started alongside Howe, although most accept it wasn't a partnership that worked ML must have seen enough to give him the nod over Atieno. Since then Taiwo has established himself but I'm guessing Kee didn't really see his future at the club and the move to Burton figures given his connection to Leicester. I guess these kind of things can happen when you have a new manager - some players just don't fit into their plans and with Rene Howe being the number 1 striker it must have been a blow for Kee as he plays in exactly the same style.

I've been disappointed that he didn't come back from pre-season looking any sharper and his body language in games has been pretty poor. He has been given a decent chance at Plainmoor but hasn't been able to force his way into contention. That said, I would have rather kept him over Chris McPhee who based on the performances I have seen so far looks exactly the same player as we let go a few years ago. I know he has been playing on the wing but I can't believe we gave him a two year deal. I hope Bodin works out or we will be lacking up front. Good luck to Billy but I can't see him walking into Burton's team and I think he is going to have to do some serious work if he wants to be good enough at this level.

Billy asked Ling if he could leave the club. He wanted to go back home, and try push for more football than what was offer down in Torquay.
Big shame but thats football, im unsure if theres even a fee involved.
