I'm quite pleased to see him doing so well as for us he was constantly played out of position and never given a long enough run in the team.
Spot on, hector. I so wanted him to have an extended run in the team, in his preferred position, if only so I could have bought my Manolos..

You can go through every single club form the top of the premiership down to Plymouth at the very bottom of the football league, and you will see players that have come and failed and moved on and been a sucsess, hardly a shocker that, even Fergie signed the odd player who has completely sucked for Man.u and gone to do well at another club.
There is no argument as to whether Billy Kee had the ability to score goals at this level, he did before he came (Accrington)and has done for Burton, that said there were plenty of times i read comments on here, and heard around the ground such Billy Kee is slow, slugish, fat, overwieght, a carthorse, and to be honest there were times i agreed.
I think us fan's have got get over the fact he truely did not settle and was not happy here (unlike some others) he playing with lot more freedom and confidence up there at Burton which comes from being happy off the park aswell as on it.
I wish the lad nothing but the best of luck, and is we have a 35 % cut of anything Burton get for him, then lets hope he keeps banging the goals, except when we play them of course..could be a tidy some if he keeps this form up.

Diego Forlan anyone?
You're right Dave but personally I don't think Billy ever got a fair crack of the whip here, maybe he would have been happier and felt more settled if he had.

I think this has worked out well for everyone. Personally I would not play Kee as one of the wide men as he is not quick enough, I would not pick him ahead of Howe as the target man. Someone earlier said play him off Howe; if we did that where would O'Kane play? If we had stayed, despite him being a good player ( I really rate him) he would not have played and probably ended up being released after another season of benchwarming.
We got some ££ for him, but no-one could have predicted his current run at Burton and if he does maintain it we get a cut of the fee. Even better for him is that he can go out with his mates on a Saturday night and then go to his mum's for Sunday Roast.

I was going to go with Diego Forlan, Dave, thanks for saving me that.
As for £1,000,000, clearly, we shouldn't take it seriously, but it is amusing to use this as a benchmark for our Eunan. Ok, Billy is a great finisher (for our level), but his game is very limited and he is nowhere near the prospect or the talent of O'Kane. Thus, if Billy is one million, I guess Eunan must be, what, twenty five million, that'll do nicely, thanks very much.
But wait, there's more...
Di Canio believes that his midfielder Richie is worth £2,000,000. I'm delighted, that's £50,000,000 for Eunan, making him the most valuable player in English transfer history (unless he goes to Barca, obviously).
Matt.

When i wrote my first reply Forlan was one of the players i was thinking about however could not remember his name, so thanks Dave for reminding me.
As for Pesch putting a 1 million pound price tag on Kee, that just manager speak , the January transfer window is not far away Pesch is going to want to let watching clubs no there boy is noy going on the cheap, cant blame him for that.

Some clubs work for some players and some don't. Branston is a good example of someone that this club and place just worked for him. He's been dump since he left us. Kee was the opposite, young lad never been too far away from home before is then 300 miles from home and he clearly didn't like it too much.
He was given a fair crack of the whip, he started numerous games last season, lets be honest his finishing was nowhere near the standard of what he's shown at Burton. i thought he looked unfit, didn't have a particularly good all round game and for a supposed penatly box predator I thought he missed a hell of a lot more than he hit!
Because he's done well at Burton there is no guarantee he would have done any better for us this year, ditto Branston he was brilliant for us, no guarantee he'd be the same for Bradford. In fact he's moved on again since.
Ultimately if you have a player that is unhappy, homesick and adament he wants to go, on top of that he's not really contributing on the field due to these factors you have absolutely no choice but to let him go. It was a crap move for Branston but a great one for Kee.

To be honest when we played Burton he didnt look very good but did score a very good goal and has an excellent foil in Zola who is a handfull. Hes going through a very good spell of scoring but would be surprised if he went above League 1 and therefore doubt his fee would be over 100k as cant picture him being good enough for the bigger sides in League 1 and the rest couldnt afford over £100,000. As some of you have said its no good looking back and at least you got some money for him. We are in the position you could have been in with Kee with Jo Kuffour who is doing well at Gillingham but I doubt we will get £50,000 for him and will probably settle for just getting his salary off our wage bill.

Also by the way, We keep worrying about keeping hold of Eunan but are we going to be able to keep hold of the Bobby the Yoddler?

Nope and Nope.
At some point we will lose both of them to much bigger clubs. Enjoy them while we can people. I honestly think Bobby is the best keeper in the division, he puts the work in during training as well. Both our keepers work bloomin hard and push each other all the time, keepers union

Completey agree with what most people are saying regarding Billy V Eunan.
Billy WILL get goals at this level, that much i'm sure of (even if it didn't quite work out with us), but in terms of playing at a higher level i'm not sure he has enough strings to his bow. He can finish a bit for this level, but i think he is lacking the height to ever become a championship-styled 'target man', and we all know he doesn't have the pace to go around stretching defences. I think the ceiling of his game will be playing League One football, although i'd love him to prove me wrong.
Eunan on the other hand would only improve if he moved to a higher team. Players would make better runs and make more space for attacking players so i can only see his game flourishing more if he went to a higher level. Also, when he knocks a long ball at this level a lot of the time the ball is miscontrolled, but higher up the pyramid people will take the ball down and head in on goal, so his assist rate goes up as well! I only hope our club isn't bullied into letting him go on the cheap.

Anyone know how long Bobby's contract is?
