Ajax for me after watching Cruyff and Neeskens as a ten year old winning the European Cup. Amazing football. Also in Holland just as its a great name in the Dutch 2nd Division the Go Ahead Eagles.
I know austrianandygull said no Real or Barcelona but I do support Barcelona a not just for the style of football (a heavy dutch influence thanks again to Cruyff !) but for historical and political reasons and not just that I cant stand that t**t Ronaldo
P.S Especially don't like Cornish teams eh trojan

been to see many games abroad over the years, but i look out for two clubs in germany :_
FC St Pauli ever since i saw a mini documentary on them, they're a real "against the grain" club, very unfashionable, and there's just something raw about them that caught my attention (not sure about the brown kit tho).
and
1860 Munich. i've spent a fair bit of time in Munich on business in the past, and got to know and drink with some 1860 fans on one particular trip, and living in the shadow of Bayern, 1860 was the natural choice from the two. went to one game when they were in the top division and ground sharing the old olympic arena with Bayern. they won that day, we drank all night, happy days.

A real 'against the grain club' are SV Austria Salzburg who broke away and reformed after the RED BULL takeover of the club. They are real hardened fans, raw and have purple and white embedded in their souls. On the subject of amusing club names they have to play against teams like (SV) Horn and (FC) Hard! oooerrr!! I've the always fancied going to see an Icelandic game myself, i nearly got the chance once when i was on a short holiday in Reykjavik to see Valur against Throttur but the other half insisted we spend the night swimming around in the freezing wastes of Grindavik with the backdrop of a geothermal power station ( it was the Blue Lagoon ). I've seen some of the Icelandic league games on tv and its comparable to watching Burntisland Shipyard vs Alloa in a scottish cup match in winter, just looks more interesting thats all.
