It's definitely not Coventry's Carl Baker - he apologised profusely to City fans after the clubs latest friendly defeat the other night, I think 1-4 against Wrexham, following their pasting by Ross County......

Unfortunately I didn't and according to twitter, there could have been a chance that Dan Leadbitter, Lloyd Macklin and Billy Bodin hadn't either! Apparently from Macklin's twitter, Leadbitter was driving with Macklin and Bodin as passengers and they got lost. There was plenty of jokes around twitter about Leadbitter's driving  at least the players have a good relationship with each other and lets hope they found their way to Bideford!

You would have thought so GS! According to Macklin's twitter they arrived, but arrived late in the end!

UNITED cruised to a 5-0 friendly win at Bideford on Friday night, thanks to goals from Ian Morris (2), Ryan Jarvis, Brian Saah and Rene Howe.
Full match report to follow shortly...

Same here Bix. I'm pleased for Morris as he has had some stick, unfairly in my opinion. He is what he is and he always gives everything every time i've seen him and i'm pleased for him. Good to keep the confidence in the team going too so great all round thus far.

Good to see Saah on the team sheet, think he may be my new favourite player! :-D

An easy win against an appalling Bideford side - on that showing they are going to have an almighty tough season going up a divison. The triallist playing at right back was hopeless. The triallist centre half did ok and scored with a header - but did not really have anything to do.
Macklin doesn't appear to be any better. Howe came on for the second half and scored after fifteen seconds. Morris scored an absolute cracker.
It was difficult to judge anything as the opposition was so poor.

He says, having made some absolute judgements in the previous sentences...

Not sure about your eyesight, but according to the OS and others at the game, the scorers were Morro x 2, Jarvo, Howe and Saah. Which of those is on trial?
Judging from this, we can only presume that the "trailist" at right back was Danny Leadbitter or Tom Cruise, neither of whom, of course, are trialists.

You seem to have caught Macklin on an off night (I'm told the oppo were 'physical' so it wouldn't be a surprise). Tell us about Morris' cracker?

Matt.
