He quit Swindon today, could we get him in temporary.
Although i suspect he will be reinstated as soon as the buyout is approved.

Totaly out of the question, he comes accross as a manager even if it was just temporay, would want sizable backing from the board to bring players in, which of course our club could not give. And personaly would not want him here, he does not come accross as being mentaly stable. Let Swindon have him back.

I've merged this with the topic on the other football section, I don't think it's necessary to have a thread of it's own on the main board.

Please tell me you're joking! I wouldn't want to see him at Argyle or Excretia, let alone us...

Not in a million years would he take over with us. He constantly complained about the lack of funding even when times were good at Swindon. I don't know yet whether he actually is a good manager, he may well be, but when you had the financial clout he did in League Two then I don't think the promotion on his CV is worth all that much.
You also have to consider the amount of signings he made at the start of his tenure that were simply turfed out a few months later. Money down the drain on 'missed' signings.

I dont think we have a big enough squad for Di Canio.
Not because he likes to rotate players, but because by the time he's got pissed off and sacked half the squad, we won't have 11 players to field.

Paul Buckle to USA, Di Canio to Luton, Paul Tisdale to Swindon, Alan Knill to Exeter as soon as Martin Ling returns to work. Simple.. :~D

Di Canio has just been appointed as manager of Sunderland..!!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21990117
Will he keep them up? Will he be given the money he wants to sign players? How long before he realises the money isn't there? How long before he falls out with players and/or the board? How long before he resigns and storms out in a fit of petulant rage?
Or will he take them on to achieve great success..??

He's the tvvat who was a major factor in the downfall of Sheffield Wednesday. Claimed he was sick with stress/mental issues after the Paul Alcock stuff, stayed in Italy and sent doctors notes. Club should have accepted it and put him on statutary sick pay (it was £43 at the time). Wonder how quickly his 'illness' would have cleared up?
The mans a complete anus and I hope both he and Sunderland crash and burn.

As if the players are going to listen to HIM!! They're on 100k a week whether they play sh*t or not. They can just leave whenever they want. They don't care.

What do we think about today's result then? Is he a managerial genius, was it just derby-day luck of the draw or was it something else?
Matt.

I'm going for the luck option, when the dust settles he'll get found out.
