Hoddle. Do people seriously think Hoddle would come here?

Not the right person for a relegation fight. Has no experience which shows he can handle one. Relegation fodder if true.

’Alan was suggested to us by some people in the football industry,’’ said United chairman Simon Baker.

Yes, people at Aldershot, Barnet, Plymouth, Accrington and Wimbledon who are all laughing themselves silly.

I can't believe I stayed awake waiting to see this confirmation. It was already pretty obviously a done deal going by some of the posts on here.

Not excited by this appointment at all, but we needed someone, and I'm happy to give him the opportunity to turn things around for us before I start shooting my mouth off.

No point in saying he is crap and this and that before he has even started. He is in now and he has all our hopes on his shoulders so the season starts here and lets get behind Knill and the lads. If it goes t*ts up then so be it but the players now need to take some personal responsibility and get us out of this mess. We as fans can only do so much. COYY!!!

Torquay Knill, has the perfect ring to it. He matches the amount of shots on target we have.

This is what interests me

‘’He also has very good contacts and during his time with Bury, he built up a good relationship with Manchester United and Everton. It would be no surprise to see some loan players come in to help us out.

Not thrilled about the choice, he hasn't had the greatest of records, but we've got to give him a chance. Any change is good at the moment, it couldn't stay as it is now! Lets see how Knill does and if our performances and results differ (well, they better bleeding have to!).

He's got a worse record than Timmy Mallet - Itsy Bitsy teeny weeny.....

How do people like Knill who has literally failed everywhere keep getting work?

Do genuinely wish him all the best though because if he doesn't we're screwed.

So the Board asked everyone from A to K and all turned them down and we've ended up with a Conehead.
