Ye Gods and little fishes, accrington cant hold a candle to anywhere especialy sarfend.
I will cheer you up you ole miserable git.'I went there when Leroy got us up.
its only street parking i am afraid. get in early. I had a feeling there were a couple of places doing their own car parking but can't quite remember.
The sea front is quite a distance away but if it gets busy you will find all the lads come out in their bling cars for a cruise. well more a park on the sea front, a couple of good fish and chip places around the front. but unless its hot weather (dont bet on it) the sea front amusements will be low key. The adventure park will no doubt be closed, unlles we are there at Easter. if you engage some of the lads who have some nicly done up cars they will be very pleasant to you and talk about their motors.
unfortuntaly last time when leroy took us up there. our lot went home, misrable buggers, the place was like a morgue. only met two other fans there in all the time we stayed there

Cheers for that GG, just the very mention of 'bling cars' and 'cruise' has ensured i shall seek one of the more genteel yet salubrious resorts nearby for a quick stroll to stretch my legs before getting a parking spot near Roots Hall. I hope i shall hear the sound of seagulls and waves and not bleeps and squeaks bullsh*t music being played by clowns in their souped up chav mobiles. Even worse, these chavs could be cockneys too! Jellied eels get me out of here!

Thanks for the heads up GG and i look forward to a relaxing hour or two listening to nature by the essex coast.

Stadium set in amongst rows of housing, on street parking should not be a problem. You have to purchase a ticket from the ticket office prior to entering which involves a 5 minute walk round 2 sides of the ground from the away end. This brings you into a parade of chippies, pubs and a bookies. Last year one pub allowed us to purchase our lunch from a chippy and bring them into the pub to wash them down with a few beers. Will be doing the same in a weeks time.

After our promotion in 2004 we actually went down onto the seafront for a kick about, was about 20 minutes away, can't remember too much about it but should imagine its now showing its age.

You did, and then you called me a miserable sod for having the temerity not to reply to you within the allotted 14 hour time period you set us!

Over your irrational fear of Accrington yet?

I'm over Accy, just fearing the dreaded Essex chavs now. ;-)

Who are you? Freddie Starr?! :na:

You work with dogs Dave so you can't possibly have any malicious intent in that quip. I take it for what it is, a joke. ;-)
