Accrington away last time out, Dagenham this week, Southend next week, if there is any saving grace from the possible looming relegation, then it is that we won't have to visit these three excuses for towns again for a while (although Argyle could escape and we could be burdened with Accy again next year) Dagenham really is a misserable looking place to visit, probably better to go there for a night game so you don't get that good a view of it.

My continued view is that anything we take from away games for the rest of this season is a bonus, I pretty much expect us to lose all/most of our away games and I would be delighted with a point here. I'm pretty sure our only slim hope for survival comes from winning home games and it appears that our form combined with the general ill will that blows around Plainmoor at the moment that is most unlikely.

It may prove fruitless hope, but Daggers have lost their last two home games 1-0, so they may well suffer from a slight lack of confindence and fan apathy at home to, but then I doubt they'll have to improve that much to turn their form around against us. I'll predict a defeat here, 1-0 or 2-0. Might be a really good oppotunity to give, Macklin, Morris, Thompson, Craig, Leadbetter, Cruise, Yeoman some game time, can't really do any worse than the more senior members of the squad who have let themselves and the club down recently.

And to the poster who suggested there may only be 50 odd there tomorrow night, it probably will be a low one. We do have a decent London contingent, so if they can brave the cold and the depressing prospect it could reach three figures.

I've been in a few low away atendances over the years, seem to remember a couple of games from the 90s, 10 Torquay fans at Carlisle for a Friday night game, 12 at Hartlepool for a Tuesday night game stand out, no allocated seating required!! :) Ther is the infamous story Paul Bast@rd tells of being in the Hereford away end, possibly back in the 70s, all on his own with 4 coppers/stewards!!! I'd be surprised if the attendance is more than 0 tomorrow night...........

I'd be very surprised if we have less than 100 on Tuesday. London games usually get reasonable support from those of us living in the South East.

In this we should play 4-4-2, bring in Leadbitter and Cruise. Drop Manse and Damon and start with Thompson. If we play the same team we will lose and if we sit back and 'feel' our way into the game we'll lose. Change it around and go high tempo pressing and take the game to them for once. OR we'll lose.

Simples.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I actually have a feeling we'll get something from this. No idea why.

I agree. Quite simply the team Knill is selecting isn't working out at the moment. The results speak for themselves. I don't see that making big changes will result in us doing any worse. Our goal difference is so much better than those around us that we might as well go for it on Tuesday and risk losing by a couple, than go with the approach of looking for a 0-0 and losing by 1.

Cruise and Leadbitter at full back, Labadie and Craig (we've got to try it once, even if I don't believe it will be the answer to everything that some think it will) in the centre. Thompson and Macklin perhaps on the wings, then Rene and any one from Benyon, Jarvis, Yeoman or Bodin up front in a proper 4-4-2

At the risk of sounding like the 2010 general election... I agree with Nick.

Something will go for us here. A lucky bounce, a reinvigorated strikeforce... something will happen.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Something needs to change.

I would leave Benyon on the bench for this one, to give him more time to recover from his injury and not only that but we can't play him on Saturday ( v Southend) anyway.

So, I would go with .... (4-4-1-1)

Poke

Leadbitter (didn't deserve to be dropped in the 1st place) Saah Downes Cruise (he deserves his chance)

Macklin (ditto) Labadie Mansell Bodin

Craig (ditto) in the " hole "

I wouldn't put too much faith in that old chestnut. It was more likely he got locked in the loo's and on getting out found himself in the stadium (if you can call it that) the coppers all turned up after reports someone had broken in to find him sat in the away end looking a little forlorn wondering when they would all come back to work again.
