Eunan's comments.

Dissappointing comments from Eunan, the club has rightly asked us fans to get behind the manager and the team, incase Eunan has not noticed but Alan Knill is currently the manager.

Alan Knill is pretty much in a win/win situation if we stay up he can walk away with all the credit, and if we go down well we were sunk before he got here. Because of that it would have been very easy for Alan Knill to come here for a 3 month paid holiday in the bay, but he has not done that, he has come here and so far worked his nuts doing everything he can to keep us up.

Anyone at the game last night could see the passion and fight for the cause in both Knill and Brass, and it is rubbing off on the team, regardless of how this ends up I will allways be grateful to Knill and Brass for the work they are doing right now.

Therefore was proud to join in singing "Alan Knill's yellow army" and will again on Saturday.

Totally agree with you Forever.
I dont know if anybody else watched the warm up but i noticed an intensity that i have never seen before. It appears to be far more structured with Knill, Brass and Taylor assisting.
Kenny V out at half time running Ricey through drills. Never seen it before.
Whatever Knill has said or done this is refreshing to watch, a committed team performance with fight and passion with an obvious game plan.

Yeah, stupid of Eunan. But, it's positive to see that someone like Eunan holds Lingy in high regard. I would prefer Knill permanently if I had a choice, but should Ling still be here (I was told he wasn't at the club anymore), then it's good to know that the players respect him.

Several people have been saying this recently. It there any truth behind this or is it just rumour?

Dunno. The Club can't or won't say, therefore speculation is rife. We keep being told not to concern ourselves with it, just to support the Club as much as possible in our relegation battle. I'll get on with that then! COYYs !

Like Eunan, I enjoyed watching 'Martin Ling's team' play last night. I mean two strikers playing at home, a genuine winger with pace, a performance with intensity and direction, oh hang on..... =Z

Martin has not resigned, I was recently told that Martin has said he will be back for pre season and just yesterday a staff member said to me I've heard the gaffer is coming back.

He's our manager. He was/is ill and has been signed off work.
He is due back, and therefore will if fit enough to do so.

I for one always thought Ling would turn it around anyway. And I know that won't be a popular opinion on here.

Personally, I think if Ling remained healthy and continued managing we wouldn't be in a relegation dogfight. As it happened the squad lost focus and perhaps so did Ling in his last few weeks trying to struggle on. The squad harmony wasn't right. And we have been used to such a terrific atmosphere in the dressing room in recent years.

If Ling is healthy then I see no reason why he can't resume his position. The board certainly showed no signs of losing confidence in him.

From the little information we have recieved it did seem as if Ling may struggle to deal with the pressure in the managerial hot seat again. If he is up to it then I am thrilled he has managed to overcome it.

But clearly we don't know if he is getting better or worse. The rumour mill is churning out all kinds of different chunks of information!

I don't wish to open up old wounds Steve but just to say that i strongly disagree with you on this although i respect your opinion. We were awful from the end of October onwards and even before then there were signs that the decline were around the corner in terms of performances early season if not results. If Ling were here now we would be rock bottom and already have one foot and two socks in the BSP. I like Ling as a bloke and wish him all the best but i desperately don't want him to return and it would be a complete disaster.

I have seen one away game under Knill, the 0-0 draw at Accrington and apart from the Burton away game where we lost 2-1 but played really well just before Ling got ill, the Accrington performance was the most positive i had seen in about 13 away games this season. I didn't go to Daggers or Southend but had i done so i would have been delighted to have been there instead of trudging out of the stadium having experienced another 90 minute football induced coma brought on by Ling.

Knill has added Labadie and Chappell but apart from that it is the same squad that Ling could hardly get over the half way line most of the time without humping long balls to Howe and i've had more excitement and seen more potency in these few games under Knill than Ling has shown me in nearly 2 seasons. Yes we got to the play offs last season, God knows how but it was dreadful stuff all the way IMO.

I reckon the split between people who want Ling back in and the people who want Ling to stay away is probably more closer than we realise.

So i disagree Steve but we'll never know for definate mate.
