John Cornforth - Richard Hancox to re-join the club he loves as number 2 cueing wild celebrations around the streets of Plainmoor.

It's got to be Knill and Brass; they have already proved their worth.

I remain unconvinced by Knill. I would hope the club would consider a wider field before taking the easy and lay option and just handing it to Knill.

The club should consider options, but unless there is another too-good-to-ignore option, Knill should rightly be favourite. He knows the players - which ones he'd want to work with long-term, and which ones he doesn't fancy. The players and staff already know him too. In most jobs, if you take a position on assignment and do reasonably well, when the position becomes available, it's likely to be yours. It's his.

As I've commented on the other thread, Knill has earnt the right and the respect of the fans to at least be offered the role first. Jury is still out to an extent, but we've yet to see what he can do with his own team.

If that can't be agreed, then it's Hargreaves for me. Can overlook the rookie status, for what I perceive to be his benefits in contacts, experience and know how of the lower leagues. Plus the fact he has made the area his home after so many different clubs, will make it much easier to sell the club to potential signings than a manager who didn't move to the area.

Day after day and week after week it's been the Knill stick that has been used to beat Ling and finally get him out. The whole point of getting rid of Ling today is surely to give his job to Knill ? If someone else now gets it that would be highly bizarre.

Knills had long enough to know who he would want to keep/let go its the logical choice

With him being able to actually offer contract to players im sure his contacts will work out too

You have to expect Knill/Brass to be offered. It may come down to whether we can afford them.
However I'd like to give Hargreaves the chance with the support of a mentor for say 6 mths. Alternatively there are several managers of higher conference sides who might be worth a look - eg Dave Hockaday from Forest Green.

Can't be sure Tarzan would want it right now, things are more than good at Bournemouth!
