I don't think it's a case of losing it all in one year Matt. In fact according to a post on their forum they made a whopping great profit last year:

This then all wiped out with a similar size loss this year.

Don't forget we had losses of nearly £1.5 million quid covering a couple of years getting back to the league. I guess if Thea demanded all her money back at once then we would be in a similar situation to the Shots.

I see what you're saying about our losses, Jezza, but was our situation now slightly different? The whole club had been decimated by a few years of zero investment (Bateson) and one big final nail (Knobertson). We essentially started again from scratch in the Conference.
Aldershot have been trundling along in L2 for 5 years now.
Perhaps, if someone understands fully, we could have an explanation of what's gone so wrong?
