Yup, no one else stands about waving their arms like a child quite like Rene.PhilGull wrote:I think were Hargreaves to get some positive feedback from the coaching staff and players who were here with Howe it would be a good idea to at least invite him down for a chat. It may be that Hargreaves can work with the attitude a find the player within, there is no doubting his ability.
We both want and need football, not dreadful Mansfield Town style hoof it and hope. Rene is a terrible footballer who, but for his penchant for cheeseburgers, wouldn't even carry the meagre goalscoring threat that he does.
And please also don't get carried away with the idea that he was at Burton, who are doing well. He couldn't get a kick for them and they have scored just two goals more than us all season. Hardly like he's been kept out of the Burton side by Luiz Suarez.
Rene had 7 good games where he knocked in some goals, he then had a record of something like one in six and that included penalties which he didn't even win. At the rate he gets goals from open play and the rate at which we get penalties, for our not-less-than-fifteen-hundred-quid a week, he'd be lucky to return one goal.
Forget Rene Howe, he wasn't that good last time he was here and he certainly won't have improved by sitting on the bench for a side who can barely buy a goal themselves.
Much, MUCH better players on the horizon.
Matt.
