Yup, no one else stands about waving their arms like a child quite like Rene.

We both want and need football, not dreadful Mansfield Town style hoof it and hope. Rene is a terrible footballer who, but for his penchant for cheeseburgers, wouldn't even carry the meagre goalscoring threat that he does.

And please also don't get carried away with the idea that he was at Burton, who are doing well. He couldn't get a kick for them and they have scored just two goals more than us all season. Hardly like he's been kept out of the Burton side by Luiz Suarez.

Rene had 7 good games where he knocked in some goals, he then had a record of something like one in six and that included penalties which he didn't even win. At the rate he gets goals from open play and the rate at which we get penalties, for our not-less-than-fifteen-hundred-quid a week, he'd be lucky to return one goal.

Forget Rene Howe, he wasn't that good last time he was here and he certainly won't have improved by sitting on the bench for a side who can barely buy a goal themselves.

Much, MUCH better players on the horizon.

Matt.

wonder if he still gets booked every five minutes ?
Hardly played at Burton, so not that many bookings.

No way do I want him back at TUFC. He bloody stiched us up by not making up his mind, until the very last min, whether to stay or go. :( Never gonna forgive him for that. >:( IMHO he's not that good, anyway.

Zedders is injured.

8 goals in 38 appearances between them means 10 goals in a season from your two main strikers. Howe has a worse record this season than Hawley. How many more times is he going to have to be useless before people accept that, basically, he's useless?

10 clubs in 7 years 63 goals in 260 odd apps is less than one in four. He's just not every good at this football thing. He knows only one way to play and he's not even an expert at that.

I'm sure he'd be alright at somewhere like Mansfield or Northampton, where they have 10 other players built to play 70 yard passes up to a fat bloke then hope for the best, but that, for me, really isn't the idea of the game.

Why 10? The other useless 9 can huff and puff the ball back to the fat b*st*rd in goal who can kick it down field to the fat b*st*rd up front. Happens in Sunday football all the time.

Should be interesting when Rene upsets Zebs, just hope they don't bring down Newport.

Ha ha. That's funny Dave. I can picture it now. A bit like a scene from the Keystone cops.

Come on Fl - Howe isn't useless, How can you say that when we have Hawley up front. It would be fair to say that we have missed him this season, in fact we havn't had a striker as good as him all season.
That said it wasn't too big a suprise that he didn't do anything at Burton - in fact he would have been better off staying at Torquay.
He may lack application etc etc but as a footballer he is better than any striker we have.

Matt, you really don't like Rene do you? You're letting your personal view affect your objectivity. He was very good for us.

Undoubted attitude problem, but a superb player when on song.

The PLG always acts like a jilted bride when Rene is mentioned. No value whatsoever in his appraisal.
