Or could be that Shaun North, fine bloke and coach though he is, has more or less stayed at the same level, while Paul Buckle has moved onwards and upwards..tomogull wrote:

I've never liked or rated Buckle. There are reasons why we did well under his leadership but I prefer to think it was in spite of him not because of him. He has a small contact list but a huge ego so I'm expecting him to fall flat on his arse just like he has elsewhere.friendlygas wrote:Seriously think that Cheltenham could be Conference bound this season unless they start getting a few wins. I would say the transfer window is going to be a very important time for Buckle.
Bizarre, I doubt it, they are not a sacking club. Has kelvin spoke to him about coming back :~DAustrianAndyGull wrote:According to the Chelts forum he's been given the boot although not confirmed by the club yet. It was in the Gloucestershire Echo i think.

His record since leaving the Gulls has been shocking. Sacked every time.Southampton Gull wrote:
Er.. wrong. He did very well in his short period at Luton, had them challenging for promotion and a big FA Cup run including a historic win at Norwich, before resigning to move to USA with his wife, where he was also a big success (albeit in a major coaching job rather than management). He then resigned to take the Cheltenham job.gullintwoplaces wrote:His record since leaving the Gulls has been shocking. Sacked every time.
