With rain all day today and tomorrow forecast I doubt that we will be playing, let alone winning!

It all depends on performances on the pitch. If we are challenging at the top of the table then I imagine gates will stay at a similar number to what they are now. If we are struggling then they could well fall to 1000 or 1100.

Last summer we were told that the break even figure was 1800. Now that the wage bill has been reduced and other overheads have gone I'm assuming the break even number for people through the gates is lower.

The string of postponed fixtures is worrying. The best Tuesday gate we can get for all these fixtures will surely be below the 1800 we require. The gate could get still lower once the reality of relegation sets in. Things have not run our way at all this season. In fact for years we seem to have had no luck at all.

I still don't believe the Conference South is impossible to have a go at however even if we have to go largely part time. Are we really saying we will be worse than Truro? They are having a go at this season from what has to be a far lower crowd and revenue base.

But they have wealthy owner

I reckon we would stay full time for 1 season and have a good go at getting back up. If we didn't go back up then we would go part time.

Think it's right for the club to try and stay full time. This is no gem, nothing new being said here by me, but we only have to take one look at the jobs market around this area, and if don't know it, just sign up to a recruitment website, and the reality will soon dawn on you, £13k-14K if your lucky you might get more than £15k a year.

Heard many say about moving the training base London, this will not work either, for a start cost, the cost of renting a training base in the London would be some way beyond our club, and you still have logistics, still asking a players to travel to play in Torquay, why would they, when for just a few quid less they could train and play in London.

If the club was to go part-time, it will be consigning itself to a future below the national league structure, it must do all it can to stay full time.

Moving to London would be too expensive, West Midlands would be a better option & training facilities could be shared ( rented ) with a local club as most part time training takes place in the evenings.

It is one thing to want to stay full-time but quite another to get full time professional players to play in the new lower league which, in my opinion, is now a near certainty.

Mmmmmmmm moving the training base nearer London. OK we are all guessing regards cost but a share might not be a bad idea.

I think Basingstoke would work. Lots of jobs, on the m3 /303. And i live here :)There is Farnborough as well. Reading are building a new training base opposite my gym actually, but I guess they don't need the money. But a few options I reckon. The Basingstoke part timers prob earn more than our full timers.
