I know that Torquay United is firstly a business then perhaps a decent football team but the paying customers are begining to be taken for a ride.
I know you're a pretty negative poster Coley but why be positive if you can't see anything positive? I totally agree with you. If we suddenly go on a run like last season then i might hold my hands up but there is only one way we are going if Ling persists with this dirge. Like you say, one two or three performances we play sterile poop fair enough but it's all the time and we are paying through the nose for it. He's a one trick pony and now he is being found out.

I 4-1 also think we're terrible.

At least Jarvis bagged a goal today, only a slight positive but a positive.

Just got in.
I'm usually a positive poster, but not this eve. That was dire. Nicco had an absolute mare.
I didn't see any urgency, belief or a will to win. The best word I can use is lethargic. Southend were bright, keen, quick and sharp, exactly what we werent.
Its going to be a long, tough winter in my opinion. We have very little threat going forward and all those who have posted this over the last few weeks, you were right.

Sounds like an exact copy of the Oxford performance...except without the positive bits (i.e strong defensive performance and heroics from Rice).
Sounded desperate today. Credit to all who stuck it out till the end. Far from a crisis, but time to see some action from Mr Ling. Says the same things time and again after every game, but yet to see any improvement in performances on the pitch.
Absolutely imperative that we don't lose Rene in January, otherwise we really are buggered.

Like i said, one man team playing for a one trick pony. It's so transparent it's embarrassing.

Can somebody tell me where Bodin was today please? Couldn't see him at all.
Also, I hope Rene manages to find his way out of Cresswell's pocket before they get back to Sarfend.
Had the pleasure of watching from the match sponsors box after being invited as a guest, which was very nice.

Honest assessment from Ling: a really bad day at the office, Southend made us look really poor, fans have every right to be frustrated etc.
He accepted Manse's red card, commented on how we can't afford to draft in a host of players (how about one, Martin, just one?!), and thanked those on the Popside who continued supporting the team to the end.
His strangest comment, for me, was that we had players out there learning their trade. I guess he was referring to Rice, Bodin and Craig, predominantly. In paying £70k for Bodin and identifying Craig as the probable replacement for Eunan, surely the situation that they'd play and be under pressure isn't that surprising?

It took a 4-1 smashing by Southend last season to kickstart us. Hoping it'll be similar again. Somehow though, I don't see it.
The club were banking on making some progress in the FA Cup so the loss to Harrogate may prove to be a very crucial one, unfortunately.

We have injuries to Morris, Macklin and Stevens all attack minded players, yes we get it the early cup exit means no increased budget, we not asking for loads of players to be brought in, its has been suggested there is money for 1-2 loan signings, right now we need a winger at the very least for pity sake..3 defensive midfielders and the one attacking creative player we have stuck out on the wing, at best bizzare at worst flurking embarrasing
We bring on a second striker and put Tompson a real winger on the wing and Craig into the centre, and what happens the real winger beats his man puts a cross into the box and the second striker now on the field scores, heck who would have thought it, strange but true.
We are 8th they shout, we are unbeaten at home was the cry, what more do want, every things alright at home just got to sort the away form out, been saying for a few weeks now, everything was not alright at home we ahve been getting away with, this defeat has been coming for a while now..time to refocus before to much damage is done and new fans won from last seasons and from the opening of the bench are lost.
