There is no way Chippenhams players were better than ours though individually.

The timewasting was the worst I have ever seen. It is not an excuse but it was a factor in the game. When every throw in was taking about two minutes then that is clearly a factor.

The referees failure to get a grip of it was criminal.
True, but TQ should have made their superiority count in the first 20 minutes. It is absolutely incomprehensible, how they are consistently firing blanks up front. Oh well, off to Hungerford next, still praying for a good performance and some goals!

How many more times are we going to hear Owers say "Its very disappointing" and "The lads are working hard and looking good in training when there`s no one around and no pressure" Ah yes Gary they look good when there`s no opposition. What a stunning admission of ineptitude on a match day. Surely SURELY we will beat Hungerford, their confidence and lack of ability has to be even lower than ours.

I don't get this optimism about the Hungerford game: THEY ARE IN BETTER FORM THAN US!!! (6 points from last 5 to our 5 points)

Just bumped into Keating in a St Marychurch Cafe, lad looked gutted. What is Owers thinking taking off a player with such low confidence already who was making more of an impact than most of our lads. The chap gets longer over his plate of beans than he does on the pitch.

Owers has no idea how to gather and guide a football side, doesn’t have the bottle to thank the fans after displays like that and seems to be happy taking the pay cheque whilst destroying his reputation as a manager.

The entire population of Hungerford could fit inside Plaimoor. They recently had an attendance of 229 for a home game against Dartford. Whilst stats like these are all very well and good, they bear no resemblance to the outcome of a football match as we all know.

Torquay have no divine right to be smashing anyone in this league is a line i hear trotted out all the time.

That said, if Owers had assembled the sort of side it was reasonable to expect over the summer and Owers was managing the side to the levels of performances it was reasonable to expect after the summer then it would be reasonable to expect that Hungerford should really be smashed out of sight in this game with all due respect.

The crux is though is that Owers isn't doing anything that is reasonably expected of him and if he were then yes, Torquay United would have a divine right to be smashing teams like Hungerford and would be doing so. Instead we are now operating on a level with Hungerford and accepting that in the balance of fairness, it's ok to NOT be expected to be steamrollering these sides with a full time professional ex football league club.

Woking too after Hungerford. :-/

Hungerford and ourselves have played Chelmsford, Gloucester, Bath and Hemel. We didnt conceded and took 8 points. Hungerford conceded 12 and took a single point ! I`m just saying those results would suggest we are stronger, why not be optimistic.
