Truro have quite a rich owner/chairman do they not?
It's an old one, but to assume is to make an ASS out of U and ME both.

Hodges is still playing isn't he ? When did players start earning more than managers ? Then there's Wayno.

Fact, rumour and speculation. Because someone says something you believe them ?

With regards to the post above think in terms of around £400 per week for playing for Matlock.

For me without Hannah we would be nowhere this season as nobody else can score. He is worth the admission alone.

However, bigger picture we have a great opportunity to get promoted this season probably via they play offs. If we do crowds will increase as will revenue. Not just from Matlock supporters but larger away support. We really have to get to the point that if Hannah goes then please let it be after the season has finished and take the gamble that he goes for nothing. We may not get this opportunity again to go into the Conference North.

I fear also that Mark Atkins will also leave as manager at some point as his part in Matlock's relative success cannot be under estimated.
IMO £400/week is bullsh*t. Have you seen the size of your club and how much gates you're getting?

And away support in Conference North? An extra 20 people isn't going to make a difference mate! Well since it's a tenth of your home gate I guess it might, a little bit...

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Good luck to him wherever he finally goes (if he wants to) and good luck to Torquay United if you do get him. But I hope we take the gamble and he stays until May just to see if we can take this very rare step for us up to the Conference North.[/quote]

Indeed i can see the new stand and social club very nicely plus the fact we actually look after our finances means that figure is likely correct but i'd say between £300 and £400 and worth every penny.

Thank you for the forum hospitality and good luck in getting the play off's.

I too would like to thanks 12345 for his contribution. Further, I hope he takes away with him a slightly altered impression of how a forum ought to run. Happy to extend an invitation to all MTFC fans to come back here when we have a conclusion to this story, whatever way it goes.

Dave, very kindly made me a moderator. I am on here at all hours so I can remove the late night spambots which arrive, so if you need anymore of you 'little blue pills', you'll have to get them from the pharmacy like the rest of us.

Seems Matlock are using this to get in the media and drum up interest to get a better price that for him. Hope we did enough to convince Ross Torquay would be a great place to apply his trade. This is where I have the upmost confidence in PB - he really does sell the club well to potential signings.

My fingers are still crossed on this one.

It still irritates me that their trying to make the club look bad for the sake of some media attention. In future would it be wise to discuss transfers in house, until confirmed on the OS, before running to the other teams forum?

Forums should not be used as evidence in connection to a club. They are for fans opinion and speculation and are in no way official or represent the club at a proffesional level. It is not right what they have done here.

Absolutely right Richinns. Unfortunately though that is exactly what Matlock have done. It is quite clearly stated that this is an unofficial site, the club have no control over what is said here so cannot take the blame. Since the posts on the Matlock forum contain information taken from this site, then it should not be used against the club. It would've been so easy for these sites to check out if Matlock's accusations were entirely true before publishing them, as it is, they've published a half truth.

Was that your orange rollerskate I was parked in front of on the seafront near the poxy balloon yesterday? Or are there other colour-recognition challenged Focus drivers around here? :na: :na:

Oh dear. Torquayfans.com ruining a signing with premature announcement. Can't say you weren't warned.

The reason this signing hasn't happened is because we haven't met their valuation, no other reason. Had we done, Matlock would have no problem with the news having been broken. They are using the situation to further 'advertise' their asset.
