Actually I'm going to backtrack a bit in light of the depth of frustration and say I personally would want to praise good play but I can totally understand the complete and utter despair fans feel if they have been watching performances like that every other week. Each to their own but I was harsh so apologies.

A thoroughly disappointing afternoon. Poor Chris Hargreaves, what a shambles he's inherited. Sitting in the Family Stand to us it looked as if Labadie had his leg taken away but clearly the ref saw it differently. Pearce and Labadie had headers off the line but although in theory we could have won 3-0 in the end it was obvious only Accrington would take the points.
Our home form is really non-league standard and if this was to continue next season - assuming the inevitable happens - then Conference South beckons.
I fear that non-league football will lead to a big drop in season ticket holders with crowds, at best, just over 1000.
Although I drive 400 miles round trip I shall continue to do so until the fat lady sings.
For Tuesday recall Downes, move O'Connor to right-back, replace Labadie (suspended) with Harding, replace Mansell (hopefully injured) with Craig (recall from Dorchester) or sign up James Harper (surely even a half fit ex-Premier player could make a difference).
For me I can't understand why, at home, we don't take the game to the opposition. I would accept a 3-4 defeat if we attacked.
However 31 games 30 goals tells the story. Come on Chris let's go down fighting and then have a big clear out and re-build.

Actually I've been an idiot. Sincere apologies to all fans in the bench today, I was in a bubble going to the one game and have not thought about those of you who go to all. I was bored rigid so I can't think what you regulars must have been thinking. Just thought I should say that out of respect.
I have also just looked at the league 2 table and the next two games are vital. We need to win one of them or we'll be bottom soon and looking at needing 6 or more points just to get level.

In all fairness maybe Hargreaves isn't responsible for this mess BUT he is the manager now and it was his decision to bring on Stevens and play him in midfield - I honestly havn't got anything against Stevens but he was a ridiculous signing and he only touched the ball once in 14 minutes.
Chris Hargreaves isn't stupid surely but christ why are Craig and Yeoman at Dorchester and Stevens is on the pitch.
I didn't realise that Stockley was injured but for all his critics he is more match savvy than either of the loanees O'Brien or Wilkinson who have no pace whatsoever.
Surely Benyon should have come on - at least he is mobile, unlike the rest of the strikers we have.
I would be suprised if there is 1100 there on Tuesday night - thats me finished I had taken time off work for the game but really there is no point anymore. Thats me finished for the season. Hate to say it but for me Hargreaves is actually worse than Knill.
The only time this season that I have seen the slightest inclination of tactical nous was when Harrop was in charge against Morecambe. He actually picked a formation that worked.

First of all Stockley is possibly the slowest human being on the planet so playing Stockley (who should be sent back as he is poor) would have been an error.
Secondly you cannot compare Knill to Hargreaves. It just doesn't work.
Thirdly Hargreaves got his tactics spot on at Chesterfield
He just hasn't been able to lift the squad and translate his persona into vibrant, dominating football as many new managers do. The honeymoon is over but we needed more.

As a lifelong fan I have to say I am absolutely shocked to read the reaction to todays 1-0 defeat.
I find it truly puzzling how we can win away at Portsmouth and then lose at home to Northampton and Acc Stanley.
I have faith in Chris Hargreaves but 2 wins at home from 15 games tells a story of players who are not mentally capable of playing to the required standard for a whole host of reasons.
Chris needs to find out very quickly who wants to give 100% and only play these players. Anyone else should not even be on the bench whoever they are.
We are in a real crisis situation now and it is a time for cool heads. Downes MUST be recalled for starters. Make Nathen Craig the midfield playmaker and let him take every free kick. Give Yeoman a chance as he is a finisher.
Put every player on the transfer list if they cannot guarantee 100% effort. Not that I expect any offers but it sends out a clear message who the quitters are in the squad.
The next 3 weeks will determine if we have any chance of survival but I have to say tonight I am feeling really low about our chances.
Have we ever had only 2 wins at home from 15 games??? UNBELIEVEABLE.

Hargreaves couldn't have got his tactics spot on at Chesterfield because we lost 3-1.
Stockley is actually better than either of the loanees.
No other manager would have signed Danny Stevens let alone played him - come on you saw it what did Stevens do? sod all he touched the ball once.

I didn't think I'd ever meet anyone with more black and white thinking than I but I have now. Cheers Brucie!

I know most of you will think I'm a **** and hate me for the few seconds that you think about my post, but the situation we are in is what I have posted previously. We had an experienced manager who was undermined by a dressing room revolt led by two players who featured today. He was going to have them out of the door in January when they would have had all of our best wishes but no, the manager who could have kept us up has gone and they are still here.
For heavens sake one of them is going for the record of 3 relegations from the bottom tier of the Football League! Do we want to help him achieve it?
Most clubs in a relegation situation appoint an experienced manager (as we did last year with Mr Knill and he got us out of it).
What do we do this year. Appoint a rookie (who was a brilliant player for us and I am sure has all the attributes to be a good manager) who is a friend of our weak links. It is no good our former professional player and manager poster coming back at me now and saying that as a professional friendship will not affect him. He is still picking them so it has!
What did Northampton do to escape relegation? Appoint an experienced manager. Yes, Mr Knill and with Mr Wilder to do the paperwork. After being a long way adrift when Mr Knill joined them they will overtake us next week.
I noted somebody said that it is because of what Hargreaves inherited. Crap. Every Government says that when they take over power from the previous administration and the excuse cannot last too long. We have had 2 wins and 4 defeats, and one of those wins we relied heavily on the opposition blasting the ball anywhere but in our net.
I wish Mr Hargreaves all the best in his mission, but it has always worried me that he would not sign the contract unless it was guaranteed that he would be manager next season whatever league we were in. A recipe for disaster and there is no motivation at all for the manager to keep us up as his job is secure. So it seems are the jobs of our serial under performers, albeit I expect even a rookie manager knows they may be able to hack middle to lower table Conference football.
It is rather ironic that in the days we were a real threat to get 2nd tier football Torbay was a transportatiuon bottle neck and now that it is eventually being sorted out we are heading towards 5th or 6th tier oblivion!
I'm with Wivel .... I agree with Brucie!!!!
Che sera sera!

Probably still better than Mansell. Without his boots on.
