Very simply, as I waffled a bit last time, you can only play for 2 clubs in a year, either on permanent transfer or loan. Emergency loans don't count towards this, but are limited to 93 days.

The 2 clubs in a season rule is the reason why i see Bodin coming here. Does anyone think we will make any kind of offer? But i reckon a loan will be better, he will never get games at Swindon nor be in competition for a place there, whereas here he will give healthy competition to Stevens and Morris.
IMO we will make an offer, be refused, and sort a loan deal next week.

Seems odd that neither officials from Burton or Crawley are aware of this rule in discussin a player and neither the BBC who tipped further interest from Crawley about an hour ago. Sure its not a PL rule?

Its not a PL rule, its a FIFA rule but its not 2 its 3.

I learn quite a bit from you fellows. As much as I've always loved watching Torquay I've never really had a good knowledge of football. I'm getting better though, I must be, my dad and I have half decent conversations now in which he actually takes me seriously

.
The best thing is that I can ask a question and it's answered without being patronising and making me feel stupid.
Well that was massively off topic.
So how about this deadline day then? =D

I think you can play for more than two clubs if they are loan spells.
There was a defender (can't remember his name) who a few weeks ago played for Mansfield, Nottm Forest and Notts County in consecutive weeks. He was on loan to Mansfield from Forest. Played his last game on loan, returned to Forest and played for them and then the next week went out on loan to Notts County

Well off to work hoping there are no more departures before the window shuts, surely Lingy will be trying to use the money from Robbo's move to get Bodin in permanent, and a centre half in on loan for the rest of the season.

The cynical among us (me; wave!) would suggest that not having a good knowledge of football makes you perfectly qualified to watch Torquay

According to today's Swindon Advertiser, Billy has said that wants to stay at Swindon and fight for his place. It goes on to say that he may well figure in tonight's match at Southend. Sounds like that's that for the time being.

That's a bummer. STFC must mean an awful lot to him.

I wouldnt worry if Billy doesnt come back, we will sign someone else instead on loan in the loan window.

The moment Swindon slapped a £150,000 price tag on Bodin's head, there was no way in this world he was coming back here, not sure why we , as in us all not aimed at any one idividual, could not see that.

I would suggest that Nathan Craig is that person.

I would suggest its not, i thought we would have sorted out a deal today but looks likley to be sorted in the loan window instead.
