On the Football League Show tonight, when asked if we would stay up, Guy Branston simply replied "No". He's probably right but he needn't have been so definite about it. I now more than ever want us to stay up to prove him wrong. There are still 8 matches to go so still a lot of points at stake. He also says Argyle will make the play-offs (well, he had to, didn't he?). Maybe ..... but that's as far as they'll get.

The highlights of tonight's Southend/Oxford game were also shown. Must say Southend looked good ......

Just looking at Portsmouths run in, they could be lucky to get 3 or 4 points from their remaining games so it could well be them....

Wycombe and Portsmouth now both on 42 points. The Gulls 4 points behind Northampton. Most of the teams we've played this season have been crap. But we have been far worse. Can't really see us winning any more games, though it's always possible, and if we do we could yet stay up. But the questions is: do we deserve to..??

Torquay and another crap side.
Life is like TUFC. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. :goal:

Portsmouth and Wycombe. It's obvious Mr Knill will keep Northampton up so we are running out of teams to catch.

I said Portsmouth (they have a very difficult run in in a relegation fight) and Exeter before, but Exeter have probably sorted things in the last two games. Secretly pleased tonight for Exeter. Living in Ivybridge have had so much stick the last few weeks. What goes round comes round! ;-)

So Portsmouth and Wycombe.

The only major flaw in that plan that I can see is ... where are we going to pick up enough points to overtake them? ;-)

Out of interest, Stefano, and maybe you could answer the question this time, what is Chris Wilder's role at Northampton, if all their 'success' is down to Alan Knill? Just curious as to what it is the actual manager there does?

My understanding is that Mr Wilder makes the tea and puts out the cones and that he was only recruited by Northampton in the first place to advise on who would be the best person to drag them off the bottom of the table. They chose wisely ;-)

I know. I just can't find it in myself to type Torquay United in this thread until it is certain. Won't be long now ;-)

I can. Torquay and Portsmouth for me now. I had hoped it would be the Greeks, but sadly not.

CH never had much of a chance this season. We should give him a chance to make the changes he wants during the summer and then see what next season brings.
