Blo*dy Southerners..... :}
Lucy is from Wigan.
They do love a pie in Wigan (or anywhere.)
Lucy had pie, peas & gravy at the game.
She loved it. It was Pukka. (Other pie making firms are available.)

Shame, but Aldershot is closer to London I guess.

Jamie Reid?

On Saturday, Jamie Reid scored for Stevenage and was their best rated player. I think he'll be involved in their fight against relegation.

Another excellent win. Woking away is never easy.

In terms of our chances of making the play offs, it further reduces the number of wins needed. Six from seven is easier than the nine from ten it looked like would be required a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately Grimsby's unexpected victory over Stockport means that the points total required may be a bit higher. Hopefully they will also drop some unexpected points along the way. Kings Lynn still have a chance of staying up so hopefully they'll take something from Grimsby on Monday and we'll beat Eastleigh.

Dagenham seem to have found form again but they will be probably be easier to catch than Grimsby, although we may not be able to afford to lose our away game at Dagenham. Boreham Wood are on awful form and barring a huge and sudden change in form I don't think they'll be relevant come the end of the season.

I think us winning at Grimsby is going to be pretty much essential but we can probably afford one defeat (preferably not at Dagenham) and have a reasonable chance of making seventh.

I said we would not make the playoffs in January and still feel that way today. The odds are still stacked against us, but we continue to walk the tightrope.

However, what a run we are on and I will make the 400 mile round trip on Monday. πŸ’›

To answer the original question. Yes, if we win our last six games and two of the four teams above get no more than the following points from their other matches-

Dagenham - 13 from 6 games
Notts County - 11 from 6 games (and they have very easy fixtures
Grimsby - 9 from 6 games
Chesterfield - 8 from 6 games

Winning our last six is very unlikely.
Two of the four teams above us dropping a significant number of points is also unlikely.

So we're really back to it still being mathematically possible but extremely unlikely.

After the start we had this season the players and management have done well to keep at least an outside chance of promotion going until almost the end of the season but I think at the final whistle today they and the fans knew it really is over. Lets hope we can still get some good results and finish in the top ten.

we can safely say it isn’t happening. It was always a long shot and have to give the team some credit that we even had an outside chance. I think we had 10 points from our first 11 games this season and I thought we were in a relegation battle. Still want a decent finish to the season as it helps build momentum for next season. I still maintain best thing is for Stockport and Wrexham to go up this season and get ourselves ready over the summer for the start of the season

With yesterday's results we went from 25/1 to 80/1 at the bookies.

Not surprising. We could probably have afforded to drop points in only one of our last seven games and we did it in the first of these against a team from low in the table. Other teams' results were as expected although there was always hope of a slip up.

If we'd have won yesterday I think we'd have gone to Grimsby on Saturday with real hope and a big support but feel it will be hard for the players now, although Gary will rightly say don't give up while there's still any chance at all.

I think the playoffs are beyond us now, but GJ & AD won't let the players down tools, players playing for contracts next season. I would also love to see SDM πŸ’›πŸ’™ stay for another season πŸ™
