Matt.
Best player leaving... was always likely, but still a bitter blow. On his day, one of League 2's best (even Ferrarilover belatedly sees it). AK thankfully has a couple of months to find a replacement, because the likes of Benyon and Jarvis are not blessed with anything like Howe's talent.
Oxford and Torquay basically the same?! Ooh my ears, he's dropped another clanger.

Since you missed it first time round...
in the grand scheme of things...

How does that sentence justify anything?
The only things we are the same as Oxford are we are in the same league and we both wear yellow!
Does that mean in the grand scheme of things Manchester United and Stoke are basically identical?!!!

Hhmm - why??
How would he know if he would ever return from this potentially career ending injury??
Strange one that!!

Disappointed about Oastler too, he had a bad season but he's more than capable at this level. Knill is clearing out the dead wood (no disrespect intended to those players like Stevens who have served us well) but it is refreshing to see. All these players who were hanging on in there but never hardly produced anything are now gone or going. It's a great feeling. Like a spring clean but in May.
I want to see Morris stay and i suppose Matt is right about seeing Nath in his preferred role and then see how he does. Not fussed about Howe leaving. Pretty happy all told at the minute. The only major disappointment for me being Oastler.

Must have been clauses built into it but that's what i've been told that he's got 6 months.

Not even slightly. You definitely understand this, you've proved that by the example you've given. It's hardly a significant step up, in the same way that a guy out of contract at Oxford signing for us would hardly feel as though he had regressed. Luton get 6000/week through the gates and have a nice training ground, would that be a step up for him?
Matt.

I bet if it was Billy you'd be over the moon though, even though they both had bad seasons
