Never heard of him but Ipswich have a good record with young players from their academy that they have given first team chances too. I'd imagine if he's been in and around their first team squad then he'll be a decent player. We needed another forward so it has to be positive news.

Does anyone else think that Murray has been brought in due to the Ross Hannah deal falling through?
Anyway, Pringle & Murray, two Championship standard-ish players you can hardly moan. I'd rather have this guy than the unproven Hannah for the time being.

Asked my cousin who's an Ipswich fan:
'Scored a lot in the reserves, I think he's good enough to push for a first team place. He's quick and knows where the back of the net is. Reckon he'll bang them in for u.'
Sounds good to me. Hope he's right.

We,ve got Stevens and Robinson. We don't need another pintpot, we need a hulking Jon Parkin style player. Pointless!! He will have my support though as a true Gull fan should give.

Right, this is a little odd, but stick with it.
I'm watching the Man City game and they have just shown Shevchenko's (sp) goal. He gambles on a near post run and gets his rewards. That is the one and only thing we are missing from our current team. With a player who is happy to make 'that' run, it would be worth a goal a game. Think how often Zebs does his man for half a yard a fizzes a ball across goal 4 yards out.
While I absolutely agree that we need a big man to give us a plan B, if this new lad is the guy to make 'that' run every time, he will ultimately have a much greater influence than signing another Sillsy or Gritts.
Glad ITFC are sad about his departure, hopefully he will be the catalyst to kick us on and keep us ticking over until Mr Hannah arrives. :~D
Matt.

Courtesy of wikileaks, I have compiled some very selective and biassed data
![Shocked :O](./images/smilies/surprised.gif)
from the careers of goalscorers which may suggest that >6foot is not so important...Guessed the height of Robin Stubbs at 6foot.
Big Mac had a great strike rate, and had a decent set of lamb chops early on.
If Ronan knows where the net is and is quick, brave and fearless in the 6yd area he will do just fine.
Lets support the lad and make him succesful
