Boreham Wood have double our playing budget and it showed, the better team , stronger and quicker we were definitely second best and hardly created a chance or tested the keeper . Better hope they go up .

The players gave everything against a very physical opposition. I personally don't get all this negativity. What a season it's been. Anyone spouting dross such as that we should have pissed the league should go and find a new sport to watch!
Another day we win that. Today we didn't. That happens, take the positives, take a break and get prepped for Buckland away pre season!
What were the positives? Off the field, exceptional. Incredible season. On it, very disappointing.

Not quite sure why anyone would go defensive when they have home advantage, 5,500 fans as a 12th man and a top form record to boot. What was the point in finally filling the attacking department if you aren't going to use it? Well done to all on a fantastic season, may next season be better.

Oops. So I paid the month of DAZN thinking I’d be able to watch the final for only 5 quid more…thanks boys!
We are all behind the gulls but being in this league again is so frustrating. On crowds alone we are by far the biggest team in the league. Thanks to the new owners for a great season (under the circumstances) but please, let’s get out of this proxy league next season.

Not sure that we win that any other day tbh, we didn’t play particularly well and looked to nullify BW’s threat rather than play our own game.
I’m frustrated big time. But, bigger picture, we’ve got our club back and were competitive on a 500k budget. That’ll surely increase next season, and if we keep Dreyer, Foulston, Dyer, Young, Jay and Cooke we should look at nothing less than winning the league. I know that sounds arrogant after losing a POSF, but we’ve build a half decent squad from nothing and we should with the boosted budget be able to go further next season.
Onwards and upwards

That was a game too far in our season, and so it proved too be, not sure what our game plan was but it failed in a spectacular fashion, not at all happy with his starting eleven considering hasani was yanked off at hemel after 45 minutes because he was their 12th man, but some weird reasoning it was decided he was the best and only midfield option to start.does anyone know the point of threlkeld, for a captain he is the quietest player on the ptich and actually never contributes that much.
Borehamwood were stronger, a lot faster and everytime they came forward they had a multitude of options, we on the other hand did not possess any of those qualities, the first half today was just a gentle training session for our opponents.
Having said all that, I have enjoyed this season more than most, even wotton post match acknowledged our many frailities that i hope include getting a whole new midfield, a striker like riley lowe who has more than one dimension to his game a whole lot more pace in the side.
Onward to next season.

Moron from another club posting about humility, get a life you pleb.
Moron saying move Wotton on, he assembled a squad in one season from nothing, on half the budget of our opponents. His Truro side played the attacking football we all want, but he needs time to assemble that kind of squad. Also no point in saying if only this or that, every other club can say the same, Dorking were 3-1 up against them with about 8 minutes left, so anyone can say ‘if only’.
Fantastic attendance, the atmosphere 10 minutes before kick off was amazing, yes it was really disappointing that the team just didn’t turn up today. Hopefully the supporters will see the bigger picture and keep coming back in numbers next season.
I’d rather lose today than in the final, it gives us an extra two weeks to sort things out for next season.

I don't think I need or want to add anything to what has been said. I'd rather focus on how much I've enjoyed this season and so proud of our club and the way the co-chairmen, directors, employees, players and us fans have coalesced to create a club we should all be proud to support. I'm positive about the future, please don't focus on one poor performance.

Quickly moving on from the disappointment it is not unheard of for a good team to fall short due to very tough opponents and we all knew that Boreham Wood were just that. Having started with a blank sheet of paper at the beginning of the season to missing out on automatic promotion by goal difference was miraculous in itself. Were we really ready for the next level up? I saw enough matches, even the winning one's, to think not. A struggling Torquay United in the National League would quickly deflate the fans enthusiasm. Better to look at this season as one of development to push on for next season. With attendances at record highs we ought to be able to bring in a few high quality players to compliment our key squad players and strengthen our weak positions of which there are a number. For these reasons I cannot view todays defeat as failure but rather another stepping stone of better thing to come.I am already looking forward to next season.

We basically played like we have done all season just today we were against a better team than us. The obvious difference was the physicality they were fitter, faster, stronger and seemed to be first to every ball. Our side are crying out for some pace and power but I'm confident this can be addressed for next season.
I know today is disappointing but i don't believe this side would have stayed up in the national league. Look at where we were not long over 12 months ago. Nearly out of business and left with 1 player! Today we had nearly 6000 fans there with an atmosphere better than any non league team. My plea to the owners, now is the time to invest, continue to engage with the fans get ourselves back in the football league.

The better team won no doubt but several underperforming players and we lost the midfield battle which has been a problem all season. Disappointing to go out I thought with a whimper and the selection was still handbrake than seize the day. He’s done well with the budget available to him but that’ll be bigger next season as will the expectations from everyone.
I’ve enjoyed the season as a whole however, some great away days and good to go to games with expectations of a committed display from the entire team win, lose or draw. Onwards and upwards.

If the home record had been better this season and not thrown so many points away, this game would not have been needed. Instead it reflected the season.
