There was nothing wrong with your thread or where you put it, it's what happened thereafter that the problem arises. You didn't start anything (this time) and did receive a less than polite reply from one of ours and rather than ignore it you posted this:

From then on it evolves into childish tit for tat and gets moved.

Exactly, your fan over-reacted (again) to a perfectly reasonable post........you just proved my point.

If posts turn silly its generally because your fans are so bitter

Nothing of the sort. He just posted in a polite manner at all times and was very well received.

If you think you "took" our ex-manager then you're seriously deluded. You bought him, good deal for us I'd say and most Torquay fans seem pretty glad he's gone now, especially since he's shown so little respect for our Club. He's yours now, enjoy that feeling, it won't last, mark my words.

Im guessing he sucked up a lot to everyone here??

Sorry but we took your manager and (ex/loan players) which is all part of the game and you take it out on us lot because we support his new club.

Never had a problem with Torquay before, usually head there for our sunday sides boozy weekenders.
i'm not sure that's strictly true is it ?? maybe if your fans weren't quite so keen to come on here reminding us of that fact time and time again, people would be more welcoming. i've got nothing against any of you, like most of the others on here, we enjoy the banter, football moves on, but some of the nonsense posted by rovers fans has just become repetitive and boring, not a problem i remember having with fans from other clubs. simple as that i'm afraid.

Did I say at any stage that in this instance it was your fault? If you had ignored it the thread would still be on the Main Board and the member responsible would have had a pm from me asking him to stop posting in that manner and most likely had his post deleted. You're confusing one or two members for ALL. You gauge the reaction of one or two to be the views of the majority, totally wrong IMHO.

Why don't we all agree that we hate Paul Buckle, we hate Brizzle Rovers and Brizzle City are the bigger and better club.

Now, group hug anybody?

Generally you do seem to be the same, very bitter.

Did the poster still get a PM?? i expect not.

I think Rovers fans come here to get opinion of their new manager and possible players/targets he brings with him, but then run into a wall of resentment and bitterness, as I guess everything that has been built over the last few years for you seems to be falling apart (??)

Even if I said you lot have done bloody well for a club of your size, which you have, you'd call it patronising, whereas if any other supporter said it he'd be er, poster of the month?

If nothing else we are at least good for your post/hit rates

Im up for a group hug.

But only if we can also agree on the obvious that Plymouth and Exeter are far superior, and are huge clubs compared to Torquay.

If so im all up for it.

Your assumption of my mood is just about as far removed from the truth as your opinion of Torquay fans. I've just patiently replied to your questions and observations in the hope you might eventually understand why this thread ended up being moved here. If you can't take that in then I guess it becomes obvious that you're far more interested in petty arguments than genuine responses. All that does is make the chances of more threads being moved that much more likely.

We have done well as a Club, we're now set to consolidate, regroup and strengthen the finances of the Club as well as complete the much needed building of a new Grandstand so NO, I wouldn't say it's falling apart, quite the opposite in fact. You saying we've done well is neither here or there to me, I'm looking forward to the new season and that's it.

Well the way I see it the threads get seen as piss taking by your fans which lead to sarky un-called for comments.

Even the O'Kane thread couldnt be put on without your fan commenting he isn't coming to Rovers.

At the end of the day, on this thread the guy made an out of order comment (well morte than 1) and I responded, nothing more was said but you were quick to move it here.

I was an admin on our board sorting out far more traffic, you are just trigger happy son. If you have no problem with us you don't show it with your actions or comments, yet you sound alright on this thread.

So, I'm bitter, trigger happy and have a problem with you?

I think I've been patient, welcoming and pretty friendly actually.

Totaly agree,i think this whole forum has, just to point something out here aswell,i joined the Bristol Rovers forum to post my take on things over there, and i have not been given permission to start a new topic,or even post a reply.

There is the difference,Rovers welcome on here, gulls fans clearly not welcome back.

That is because it is the official forum of the club, and is moderated by club officials.

They have to be thorough, and not just let any old numpty on there.

You will be able to post on it shortly, after they have verified who you are.

That forum is sh*t anyway because it is full of kids, and you get banned for the slightest thing, any swearing is not tolerated nor is adult humour as they have tried to make it a family site.

There are plenty of Gulls fans already on there.

Our alternative forum is the best place to get proper views and proper banter without having to worry about what you are saying.

Gulls fans are always welcome.

Not quite true - the Gargs are in the same league as us so hardly superior.....in fact they are to be regarded as the same as you lot. A League two club.
The Greasers meanwhile, yes, as much as it pains me to say and see it, are indeed a better club than us and the Gargs currently given their league status compared to ours.
