3-1 Howe.
And it's Rene Howe who keeps up his impressive pre season scoring record with a simple header from barely a yard out. Brooks came to collect a corner, but got nowhere near it, the ball drifting over to the back post where Howe was lurking to nod home. Torquay go two goals up!

4-1
Damon Lathorpe, who's just come on for Nicholson, absolutely batter a shot from the edge of the box that sails into the top corner. that's his first and only touch of the game so far!

Kee scored a penalty. And he hammers it right down the middle leaving Brooks no chance.

I guess he didn't have to run far for that one!

5-2
And it's Barry Hayles with a first time strike from just outside the six yard box, but he owes that one to Les Afful, the City front man jinked past Lathrope, and ran to the byl;ine before squaring it for Hayles who made no mistake from six yards out.

6-2
And it's the veteran striker Chris McPhee with the sixth for the gulls. A terrible error by Ed Palmer on the edge of the box gifted the ball to McPhee, who made no mistake in slotting it past Tom Brooks, and it's the last kick of the game!

Sounds like Palmer did a decent job for us this afternoon too. Good lad.
