It is just a matter if we could afford him as I think Bodin would love to be in a Torquay Shirt next season. Time (and the O'Kane transfer) will tell on this one but suspect it is unlikely to happen (however much both parties want it to).CP Gull wrote:Doesn't sound as though he will be staying at Swindon .......

If the deal is right for both Torquay and Bodin, then I would love to see him return, but I certainly wouldn't break the bank to have him here.

If, fecking IF he wants first team football?!?! Who doesn't?
Just sell him, Di Canio, stop pretending you're Alex Ferguson with your mind games, you're not, you're a babbling foreign idiot. We'll give you £30,000 for him and both you and he will be fecking grateful.
Matt.

Bodin wasn't able to get a regular place in the Swindon and Crewe teams last season, so he must have been quite unsettled, as opposed to his productive time at Torquay.
However, if the Gulls want him back, assuming the right fee and terms are agreed, we would have to move quickly, as other clubs will have their eyes on him, for example, Bristol Rovers, Oxford, Cheltenham..

This is in completely the wrong place, but doesn't deserve a thread of its own.

If we're lucky, we might just be able to scrape together the pennies for a day at Torquay beach, but the players will have to buy their own ice creams. How the hell did we come so close (in position and points) to this mob last year, given their finances?
Matt.

Seems Ling is planning a bid - but only if and when we receive money for Eunan. Must be back from his holibobs then?

Now that Olejnik has gone to Peterborough for a reported £300,000, surely a bid for Bodin is now imminent?

Give the lad a chance! Have you ever seen him play there? Don't judge before you've seen. Some people on here are so obtuse.Scott Brehaut wrote: But he can't play in goal

Very true Stevegull, you all obviously haven't seen the size of Billy's jawline! He could deflect bouncing bombs over dams with that jawline!

It's true.... No matter how big and square his jawline is..... He's no Austrian!!stevegull wrote: Give the lad a chance! Have you ever seen him play there? Don't judge before you've seen. Some people on here are so obtuse.
Looks like Billy is still a high priority for Lingy.
On another note, I found it refreshing to here Lingy talking about his transfer targets on the OS, agreed with him too regarding what we need. It's good that he's actively working on a squad which involves us keeping Eunan and Mark, and one without too.
If we can get Easton, Bodin, MacDonald back on loan, and Poke, I'd be delighted.

Free Carlings all round then. I remember that ad. one of the funniest for a long time and I still remember it as clear as day.. Funny thing is though I bet Bobby was the type who really could have pushed bouncing bombs over the dam. Two at a time.cambgull wrote:Very true Stevegull, you all obviously haven't seen the size of Billy's jawline! He could deflect bouncing bombs over dams with that jawline!

I know Trojan can do it. At least I think it was bouncing bombs!
