Have to disagree with you Danny on rather having them away. Yes, an away tie at a stadium like Leicester's would have been good, but it would have been played in a mostly empty stadium, be a bit like Southampton last year, possibly 3-4,000?
On the plus side, we have the chance to put on a upset with Plainmoor, hopefully packed and we can put on a good atmosphere too. A nice introduction to open Bristow's Bench to competitive football.
I should have reasoned my point of view. The only reason I would have preferred an away game, is because I would have liked to have gone to Leicester's stadium. However of course I do realise that it is better financially with it being a home tie and that is the best situation for the club, so I am happy in that respect.

In that regard, I completely understand what you mean Danny. Always nice to go to a bigger ground, especially one as good as Leicester's. I was just looking at the chance of an upset is greater for us being at home than away.

Good evening chaps (and ladies). Leicester fan here.
I was just wondering if you could pass on some info to us travelling foxes. How many tickets will we get and how much are they?.
Are there any away friendly pubs nearby?
Thanks in advance.

Nice to get a good club like yourselves. You'll have plenty of tickets. I think our away end held 1,100 last year but we have a new extra stand so you should get a few hundred more. And if we don't sell it out they could easily add blocks.
The easiest place to drink is the club bar Boots and Laces, and there's also a bar upstairs in the same stand. Away fans always come in there and there's never trouble. (it would also help us skint minnows keep more players in return for giving some of our beer!)

The away end holds 1050 standing, and you will have a number of seats aswell, not sure think I have read blocks T and O have been set aside for away fans in our new grandstand.
As stated above boots and laces at the ground, you will find away fans allways welcome in their.

Leicester fan here. It initially looks like a lot of our fans are really pleased with this draw and a lot are saying they want to attend. Your terrace is a big draw for a lot and I don't think we have ever played a competitive game at your ground so a new ground for people to tick off the list. I don't think it will be moved to the Saturday as we have a hone friendly agaist Sunderland. As it's the first competative match I can see it being very interesting and clearly you ave a decent chance to progress as our new players are untested and we hav yet to find a settled defence.

Leeds v Shrewsbury moved to the Saturday before, seems like a great idea to me? don't suppose we'll have the initiative to suggest it? imagine how many more away fans will be able to make it down?

Torquay United v Leicester City, Tuesday 14 August 2012
Should be a good game. Leicester are a fine Championship side and will be a big test for the Gulls. Their most famous name is probably Schmeichel (Kasper, son of Peter), a great goalkeeping pedigree.
But I think we'll be quite capable of winning this one.

There were three other threads started, somewhat prematurely, on this match in the Capital One League Cup:
by rachii12 on 13 June, by nicktufc on 14 June, and by me on 30 June (having somehow missed the other threads)!
Might be a good idea to combine them all now...

I'd have said the same, but after seeing how we started against another Championship side in the form of Leeds, I'm not so sure.

But if we start like how we finished against Leeds, it may be a closer game than you think. Let's hope the fitness is up to scratch, the team spirit is sky high and we can put on a good performance.

I work with Leicester fans so a win for us is a must!! I can see us doing it actually. As if Leicester will be bothered about it, they'll treat it as a game where they can play fringe players and get through, a PSF in essence. We can treat it as our opener, our first competetive encounter against the favourites for Championship promotion. We can get in their faces, try and play a bit of football and cause an upset. A win for us i reckon. Am i right in saying that there will be no replay if it's a draw?

You certainly are right. No replays in the "Captial One" League Cup.
