If we're getting him, be sure to check on here for RRs update. You'll know when it'll appear, it'll be about 6 hours after it's announced everywhere else...

Why'd'you say that Dave, Forever and RR? I haven't seen reams of recent footage, but from the FLS clips and our games against Cobblers, he seems to still be at his peak.

With regard to pace, the old Teddy Sheringham maxim applies: 'you can't lose what you've never had.' He's mobile enough to get on the end of things, and besides, Elliot can do the buzzing!

Purely on watching him for Northampton against us, also do not think he fits the type of player Alan Knill would be looking for anyway going on Alan Knill's Bury promotion side, even if we did have the budget to cover his wages, which I doubt the club does.

from the BBC Sport website :
One former Torquay forward who is now a free agent is Northampton's Adebayo Akinfenwa.
However, Knill said it was unlikely that he will make a bid for the powerfully-built striker, who scored 17 goals to help the Cobblers reach the League Two play-off final.
"Everybody would like to have him in their side," he continued.
"I know he's very well-paid, so that'd probably be a problem.
"He's someone that I know, he would be an asset, but I'm sure there's quite a few clubs looking at him. We haven't spoken to Ade and there are other players we're speaking to."

I thought Bayo was rubbish against us at Sixfields. Clive Platt had been a constant menace for the first half and when he got subbed at half time for Akinfenwa, they didn't have much at all. Now, Platt or Roy O'Donovan, yes please!
