gullno4 wrote:it feels weird going to a game knowing you're going to lose, I've always had hope, but tonight I just see absolutely no way! still looking forward to it, hopefully the atmosphere will be good! I think the wet muddy pitch won't do us any favours, especially as most of our squad are young chaps who won't be used to the conditions. Think this game would suit Richards, Nicholson, and maybe even Heslop. other than that we are looking pretty hopeless. let's hope we don't get beat my too many! hate to be so pessimistic, but like the team, I've accepted defeat. 2 of us attending tonight from my end, hopefully we'll hit 1400!
"Hopefully we'll hit 1400"- we wouldn't have that many shots even if Dover didn't turn up never mind goals! Will we ever keep a clean sheet ever again?

Going tonight more in hope than expectation.
Taking a mate to boost the gate by 1. We should ALL do that!
1.1 draw but you never know.Football is notorious for results no one expects.
Remember a few years ago we beat an inform Rochdale 5.0.

I'll be there tonight with my nipper. We have to start turning these results round sooner rather than later and I'm hoping that begins tonight.
My heart says 2:0 to the Gulls
My head says 0:2 to Dover
What's the odds on O'Achie or Ajala scoring tonight

Torquay starting eleven
1 Spiess
29 Berry
5 MacDonald
16 Richards
24 Nicholson
18 Smith
2 Hurst
26 Heslop
3 Butler
17 Fisher
7 Briscoe
Substitutes
4 Fenwick
11 Murombedzi
21 Lavercombe
27 Bell
28 Hickford
So, Kevin starts again. Interesting, slightly arrogant. He needs to be careful with Butlers development, he's been a good left back for us so far and he's certainly not a midfielder.
2-0 Torquay. COYY

Just trying to think of ways to boost the crowd.....
