Braintree v Torquay mon 29th
Yes, I think the last two results and performances just go to show how foolish it was, for some to judge this team as early as they did. I've maintained right form the start this team would win as many games as it lost, and a comfortable mid table finish was on, I don't think this team is top 8 or bottom 8.
There's plenty of evidence to show, that view point won't be far wrong.

I think Mellow Yellow and myself were the only ones who had belief that the team needed a tweak with pace added before the Dover game. It looks now provided we are injury free we may have a chance of a top six position. Nicho has possibly cracked it if we can keep injury free.
Brucie it's time now to get behind the team again and have belief.

Another cracking win. Six points out of six. Bish, bash, bosh.

Excellent result. Now will all those who slagged off the team after only five games eat a bit of humble pie.

Very good result against our bogey team.
11 clubs covered by 3 points. Makes Lincoln on Saturday a really exciting prospect. Come on folks lets make a big effort to be at Plainmoor on Saturday.
Surely we should expect 2,500 as Lincoln will bring 250/300.
Well done Nicho and the lads.

Give them a chance, they've still got leftovers from last season ^.^Plainmoor78 wrote:Excellent result. Now will all those who slagged off the team after only five games eat a bit of humble pie.

10 points from 7 is a pretty good start. On paper we've had a friendly opening, but you've got to win the games. I think we'll get better as the season goes on, so 10 points already is very healthy. Last season we still had 20 points in February, so these early wins are fantastic.

Well done you yellows, again.
Brucie: don't choke on your slice. The sun is shining, the weather is fair, so you can now begin to support TUFC
So, is it the glib wit of Mr Hargreaves we can look forward to next Saturday on the telly? Can't wait. Let's hope it's a good performance, a large crowd and lots of cash for the club.

Make no mistake, we were VERY LUCKY TO WIN THIS GAME! At one stage, Braintree actually had possession of the ball in our half. I hate to say it but that simply isn't good enough. SORT IT OUT NICHOLSON!

What TV revenue do we receive for being on BT sports at home?torq2u wrote:Well done you yellows, again.

A deserved win. Good shot from Luke Young for the third, after which we looked comfortable and could have scored more.
This was my first game since Bromley away last season and I felt we didn't look as good as we did in the second half of last season but were better than pre-Christmas (not that that's saying much). Braintree looked a lot poorer than they did in last season's game.

Anybody know how the players got to the game? And have the numbers on our shirts stopped falling off?

Not really, as I am sure we will lose more than £3,000 from the inevitable gate reduction that comes with TV coverage.Gulliball wrote:It's not life changing, I think in the region of £3 000 ish, certainty not more than five. Better than being away, which is almost worthless.
