On the suggestion of getting TUST involved, I personally would rather they carried on building their reserves for the day I'm sure is coming. If things turn out for the better than what a great position TUST would be in to buy a seat at the table. Better to be prepared in any case!

Absolutely right. Shouldn't let a couple of postponed matches deflect from the main purpose.

Is it possible to edit the post to change the date to the new one? If you can do it, I cannot work out how!

The big question is will the pitch be playable on Tuesday.
The forecast is for rain 3 days running and 50 kph winds and 86% chance of rain at 8pm on Tuesday evening.
If it goes ahead Chelmsford are top of the form table with 11 points from the last 5 games.
Rhys Murphy has 18 goals to date and Wraight and Fenwick 19 goals between them.
This will be a very tough battle possibly in very poor conditions.
Essential in my view to recall Ryan Dickson for his experience.
Play the conditions and keep the ball on the deck.
We are due a draw so I go for 1-1. COYY

I agree with the need for more experience but when was the last time Dickson played a full 90 minutes ? I can see him being off the pace and not having the energy of Andrews and Evans
Mind you if we are going to lump it long again no point in playing both A & E

Looking at the forecast for 8pm Tuesday night with strong winds and heavy rain the game will be a lottery - that's if it doesn't get abandoned. Given the weather forecast they will be lucky to see out the ninety minutes.

I thought you had already put your money on a draw.portugull wrote: 04 Mar 2019, 11:30 I agree brucie it looks absolutely horrendous. If it starts my money is on an Abandonment and a wrecked pitch.

Pitch is fine and has been covered. I had a look this afternoon, no worries. Light rain showers on and off forecast. The wind likely to play havoc with the ball, however. Andrews to score directly from a corner? ![Scarf :scarf:](./images/smilies/scarf.gif)

Light rain showers?? The local forecast I saw at about 10.30 tonight forecast very heavy rain coming in at about 6pm tomorrow night. I think Brucie & Portugull are probably right. Postponed (again) or abandoned during the match and the pitch wrecked.dennisk wrote: 04 Mar 2019, 18:48 Pitch is fine and has been covered. I had a look this afternoon, no worries. Dry bright and cold as of 0845, Tuesday. I have just had a look at the pitch and it is fine. However, bearing in mind that the final decision is down to the referee, and yes, much rain due tonight, a decision will be made later, no doubt. The pitch has been covered and is now drying out. Here's hoping that all will be OK.

We really need to tighten up defensively tonight. I'll go for a 1-0 win! COYY
